I'm taking it that according to Apple the majority of bike riders use paths covered with mulch and not on road, asphalt or rocks and that people use lousy bike mounts and no cases. Right?
I don't own a single thing, smartphone or otherwise, that would break from the fall shown in this advertisement.

Like, what would break falling from this height hitting a dirt road covered in mulch? Would it even break the average drinking glass, made from regular, untreated soda lime glass?

Call me cynical, but this narrative seems strategically construed to give the impression that iPhone 15 is extra durable while not actually showing anything that could be used against Apple in a lawsuit.

Manipulative if not just plain silly.

do you know which mount they show in the ad? i can find ugly mounts without case only!

No idea, but if I was going on a bike trail, I would wrap my iPhone in something similar to Otterbox or some such. Even with AppleCare+, which does not cover ”cosmetic” screen, if your screen is still intact and does not crack per se.

Not sure what you're doing with your phones, but all of my iPhones since 2009 have had flawless screens for the life of them. Screen protectors are totally unnecessary, and ruin the experience. I do use a case, though.
each to their own.

I prefer my screen flawless - no even a micro scratch.

I know for a fact that the so-called ceramic shield scratches relatively easily so at 3 for £10 a glass screen protector seems a no brainer.

I must say, it is actually really good. I recalled the same day I got my 15 Pro max, at the salon, I kept my iPhone by the mirror and for some reason it slides of the counter in front of me and fall on the marble tiles, while the girl was cutting my hair asking me why don't you use case and the next thing I knew the phone is on tiles upside down, I knew it is cracked, she picked the phone and say damn no crack. I did signed up for Apple care, instead of wasting 60 on apple case, it is just peace of mind for 9.99.

Didn't Apple warn us not to use bike mounts for iPhone devices, the constant shaking will destroy the camera?

She is me, as I tried to photograph birds hanging still in the sky due to strong winds. Now I know how heroic it must have looked.

Egg thief drops phone in mulch.
magpies will swoop anyone, apparently they don’t like bald heads or bike helmets (that are legally required in Australia.

Many people joke these are what locals really fear, not the snakes, sharks or spiders. Thankfully I've managed to never be swooped by one here.

Outer durability doesn’t matter if apple will eventually cripple the inner durability with software updates, I still have keyboard lag on an iPhone 12 how is that possible?!

Anybody who has seen the countless Youtube drop tests that compare iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 can see with their own eyes that the 15's design is actually a step backwards in terms of strength, durability, etc. Both sides of the iPhone 15 and 15 pro shatter more easily than the 14 or 14 pro. It will not take much effort either to shatter / snap the 15 pro max when flexed compared to the 14 pro max. If you don't believe me, check out the drop / durability / flex comparison tests on YouTube for yourself.
probably why they made the commercial lol

Their next ad should show an iPhone blown out of an airplane at 16,000ft surviving the fall to the ground with no damage. That might be closer to reality than a woman riding a bike randomly attacked by a bird...did she steal some eggs or something?
obviously you are not australian!

My iPhone 15 was in my pocket with a paperclip for 10 seconds and now the screen has a deep unremovable scratch across the entire surface. I don’t buy this ad for half a second.

Sarcasm, I hope? I exclusively use Apple Maps — it’s a great app that doesn’t feed an immoral surveillance-advertising ecosystem.
While it's great that it doesn't spy on you, it will routinely get addresses wrong and refuse to find streets and cities. While with Google Maps I can pretty much enter an address any way I want and it will find it every time. Apple maps seems to be like an old style GPS that requires you to enter the continent, country, city, street, street number and post code exactly to the letter otherwise it will just find some random small province in China.
