In fairness, lower capacities have always been the best bang for the buck (particularly if you include resale). The issue is whether it's enough for one's usage.

Agree. If lower capacity works in concert with iCloud and home wi-if access for large files/music/videos, it’s quite cost effective. It allows for more frequent iPad upgrades and less “big” investment worries.
