I'm confused. So they take your trade-in phone and charge you the full price (ie $399 plus tax for the base 64GB model) and then "provide in the form of bill credits"? credits in one bill or over 24 months? Lol

They pay it over 24 months...I did it when I traded in my 6 for the Xr but wasn't worth it on such a long period and being locked in to get the full credit.

It's always difficult to explain to my mother that these "free phone" deals require a trade-in and that her's isn't part of the offer. (iPhone 5c)

My mom has one of those too!

Also, my wife has a 256 gig iPhone 8 and this is only the 64 gig version. She'd have to make the difference up somehow. Either all up front or that $150 over a certain amount of time.

I actually need to add a line for my kid but don’t have anything to trade it. They offered me a $200 credit, so 50% off. Not sure if I should wait for a better offer

Lame that first gen iPhone SE customers can’t trade in that phone. They seem like the most likely to want this upgrade.
Which is ironic, since for many of us the first-gen iPhone SE > the second-gen iPhone SE 2, particularly in terms of size and the fact the first-gen has a headphone jack.

I have a iP6 sitting on a shelf unused and I'd do this in a second if I could just trade it in and pay $200 cash for the SE. Not so interesting if I have to front the $400 and watch ~$10/month bill credits trickle in for the next 20 months.

I used to be a HUGE T-Mobile fan but I kinda moved on. I $129 for an iPhone SE @ my local Micro Center, $240 a year of cellular service @ Mint Mobile. I am doing fine.

FYI - I bought a iPad 7 at the same Micro Center for $239 so I have a tablet if I want to do anything other than calls or such. The combination and Apple's great ecosystem make this possible.

Was never a fan of these, they should lower trade in options. I want to see that person who gives their xs for this.

Yep. You give them a phone that has a $100 value based on recent iPhone 7 eBay sales. They turn it in to a $399 Phone. You have to have a line of service so you end up with a free phone. Pretty simple. Do you really not know how this works?

Let's remember that any phone purchased through T-Mobile or Sprint is LOCKED. It'd be interesting to know if the promo is valid if you purchase the new phone at the Apple Store and trade-in the old phone by mailing it to T-Mobile/Sprint.

Hm is anyone seeing this online yet? I don't normally use iPhones but a friend gave me a 7 that has been working and if I can really trade it in for a free SE then why not.. unless I am missing something I can get it completely free right?

I don't see it online yet.

So if I can buy an iPhone 7 off craigslist for less than $400 (which from what I'm seeing - is very doable), then whatever difference between the price I pay and $400 is effectively a free savings?

Seems too good to be true, no? I've seen these deals before and usually the trade-in values are bad. But iPhone 7s are relatively cheap used.

I called 611 from my phone and spoke to them about it. They found the promo and I traded in a 7 & 8 for it. will them next week.
I could call T-mobile, but I would like to read the fine print of the deal before committing.

youngest kid has an iPhone 7... I am wondering if the SE would be a good choice (T-Mobile)

Just upgraded one of my kids from a 7 to an SE. She liked the form factor etc. Loves the new device. Faster, better camera, more storage. She is not a power user though.

I've done this before - phone off eBay.

the risk is if you buy a sold a broken or stolen phone they won't take it for credit.

That means you will get $100 almost immediately and the remaining $300 over 24 months in credits
I see no mention at all about that part of the deal - when I'm logged into my account.

I highly doubt that as there is not a single mention of this deal anywhere on the website.

The only people getting the deal so far are ones that call. I'm not doing this over the phone without being able to see the fine print.
