I highly doubt that as there is not a single mention of this deal anywhere on the website.

The only people getting the deal so far are ones that call. I'm not doing this over the phone without being able to see the fine print.
Exactly. I want to do it online, reading the fine print.

Very strange to announce a deal like this, link people to your website, and then provide absolutely no further detail about it there. It's the ultimate click-bait :).

I’m pretty sure there were links on the T-Mobile website last night that provided information about the deal. Today, when the deal is supposed to be active, there is nothing.

Just spoke with Sprint. I'm not getting the $400 offer. They are offering the Sprint Flex Lease at no monthly cost. Essentially a $16.67/mo credit to offset that same charge for 18 months; so the SE is 'free' for now. However after 18 months you either have to return it, start a new lease/upgrade, or you can purchase the phone for 6 more months of payments or equal payment at once ($100). So if you want to own the phone it's free for now and then $100, 18 months from now.
Might still be a deal if you have a 7 to trade up but not a free phone.

I see it but the site is still messing up. It says in the terms if you call to get the upgrade they will charge you $20 "upgrade assistance charge".
And when I try online, it says I get $46 credit from iPhone 7, not the promised $399.

Clicked "Shop Now" on T-Mobile's promotion site and when I clicked upgrade, it shows $100 trade-in value for iPhone 8. I guess it won't work online unless you call or chat?

This. I brought my Pixel to T-Mobile 2 years ago.. never saw a promo worth doing. Last month a friend gave me an iPhone 7 with front camera that doesn't work which i've been using. I have a hard time believing I can trade it for a new SE

I confirmed ... get to keep same plan, phone #. Straight trade iPhone 7 for iPhone SE 2020. :)
How did you do that? I have a 7 and would def trade for an SE.. someone above your comment said it's not a straight trade in though and that after 2 years you will owe $100 on the SE??

Just back from T-Mobile. Placed the order for black SE. Will have it in about a week. My 6S had a small crack in the screen and the T-Mobile guy let it slide.

Hey can you let me know the details of the deal please? What did you pay up front (taxes, fees, etc). The website shows the promotion but when you try and actually do it it only offers $40 for the iPhone 7. If I can really get it for free I don't wanna miss this.

Will the iPhone SE be unlocked? I mean, you're paying for it in full upfront, then they pay you a little each month that you keep an account on their network... Or do you have to pay for it in 24 monthly installments?
I don't believe Sprint or T-Mobile ever lock their iPhones. Although, if you mean keep getting credits, I believe if you cancel service, credits cease.

So I call the main number and they are having issues just like I am through the website. Lady was nice on the phone but she said my only other option is to go to the store..... worse time to do that too!

It was simple. You don't have to call, you don't have to go to a store. The promotion wasn't posted on the website until a few hours ago. Simply follow the steps to "upgrading your line" and submit trade in with it.

"iPhone SE On US"

Exactly what I do. And I get

Thanks. Your estimated trade-in credit is $46.00!

Wonderful!

T-Mobile rep confirmed to ignore the trade-in value that's brought up. As long as trade-in device is eligible and in good condition, promotion will apply after they receive it.

Just chat a rep online to address concerns, it's not that hard.

Will chat. Prefer to actually have it in writing.

I'm with T mobile and have the iphone 8. This is a no-brainer if you are planning to stick with T-mobile. I paid the sales tax upfront and traded the 8. I will have 24 bill payments of $16.66 which will be offset with a credit of $16.66 for my iphone 8. It truly is a free upgrade with no hidden strings attached. It's not a massive upgrade in terms of the 8 to the SE, but it was a chance to trade in a 3 year old phone for a new one at minimal cost.

From TMobileHelp on Twitter:

"The way that offer works is that there is basically 2 part. The first part is that trade in device and the second is monthly credits. Below I put a quick breakdown of what you can expect.
Trade In - iPhone 8 64GB Gold One time credit: $100
iPhone SE - Black - 128GB Monthly: $16.67 Monthly Credit: $12.50/mo ($300 over 24 months)

I hope that helps clear some of that confusion up for you. As long as you send in the iPhone 8, you will receive the full $400. It will just be broken up in those 2 ways. Does that make sense?"

I had to pay the tax and shipping up front, along with the extra $50 for the upgrade to the 128GB iPhone SE.

Again with US carriers charging full price on contract! My S20+ cost me a grand total of £30 up front on my contract without trade in.
