Where do people get these talking points? Start making revenue? They are making revenue. Tmobile has been steadily increasing their net income for a while. They increased it again last quarter.

Studies show some breeds of human can grow and keep collections of these talking points in their rectums.

HOORAY x1000000000000!!!!

I'm so glad T-Mobile decided they didn't want the garbage of the cellular industry.
No kidding. I had an absolutely miserable experience with Sprint, but my experience with Tmobile over the last year has been nearly perfect. Huge amounts of data, almost no slow-downs.

Billion dollar merger negotiations:

T: Combined entity will me called “T-Mobile.”
S: I don’t think so!
T: How about “S-Mobile?”
S: “Sprint”
T: Compromise. “T-Sprint”?
S: T nothing!
T: Deal is off!

One of the few mergers I was excited about; would have created a good discount carrier with a a good network

I guess they’ll just have to do it on their own, or fail
Are you implying that Sprint has a good network? Other than some ownership of the spectrum I have no idea why anyone would be interested in Sprint - meanwhile T-Mobile is a loved carrier by most of its users -- I am certainly wildly happier with it, than I was with both AT&T & Verizon.

The spectrum and towers are the only things of real worth at sprint besides the Customers. If executed properly, the merger would have been great for both companies. Over time most of the Sprint network would have been shut down and refarmed to T-Mob.

With Verizon moving away from CDMA, Sprint will be more or less alone in the world using CDMA. A decision by Samsung or Apple to stop supporting CDMA once Verizon stops using CDMA will be a death blow to Sprint. Lets just hope T-Mob has the financial resources at this time to pick up the pieces, or else the USA will be down to just 2 Big providers.

The only problem this time around is Sprint has reached a point where they quite literally are unable to give their service away for free (ok, for monthly taxes, but still). Ultimately this means that Sprint will go bankrupt, probably by the end of 2018 and we will see us down to three carriers by mid 2019 unless something changes dramatically.

Have a source for Verizon planning to drop CDMA?

Verizon's CDMA 1X network shutdown date is also earlier than what a top executive told FierceWireless in 2012. Aparna Khurjekar, who was at the time Verizon's vice president of global strategy for M2M, told FierceWireless in 2012 that the carrier planned to shutter its 2G and 3G CDMA networks by 2021
