OK after all the drama I finally got the text saying I'll have my phone on Friday.

I ordered on 9/13 via jump and got next day shipping
 
I've been charged, got the Friday text and e-mail and found a tracking number through UPS MyChoice showing Friday delivery. Now....I'm just not sure if that is my router or my phone? It's showing 3.40lbs for my 6 Plus. Anyone else who didn't order a router have a 3.4lb package on UPS?


Me too, except I got the Friday email and text as well. Mysterious 3.4lb package lol
 
Here's my history:
  • Tried to order on T-mo site, Friday 3am - 5am EST, failed
  • Saw Apple had in-store delivery for 9/19 available, ordered there
  • On Sunday, saw T-mo banner ad "Jump gets priority" so checked their web store
  • Web site said, to my surprise, that a 64gb 6+ gray would ship out on 9/19
  • Foolishly believed that, canceled Apple order, ordered thru T-mo under JUMP (v1)
  • Today, get "Great news!!" text that it would ship between 9/22 and 9/30. Not happy cuz during order web site had said would ship 9/19

So, given that at the time I ordered the web site said it would ship on 9/19, and today when they said oh yay lucky you it'll ship 5 days or more late (and I had paid for Next Day), so I called them. Then the odyssey began:

  • Called Customer Care, explained situation, "oh, your order was canceled"
  • Me: "no it wasn't, i still see it on my web page"
  • Them: "Oh, you didn't accept EIP"
  • Me: Yes I did, i have e-mail, want me to send it?
  • Them: Ok, we need to xfer you
  • Wait...wait...wait
  • Finally talk to person, explain situation, "Oh, you need to talk to customer care (who I was just talking to)....
  • Transferred, wait....wait....wait
  • Talked to Customer Care, explain AGAIN. Them: "We can't see your order, you need to talk to Cust. Loyalty department". Transferred.
  • Wait....wait....wait
  • Talk to Customer Loyalty, explain situation: "Oh, we can't see your order, you need to speak to Web Orders Dept". Transferred
  • Wait....wait....wait
  • Explain situation to Web Orders guy: "Oh, we only handle new accounts, i can't help you, you need to talk to Customer Care"
  • Me: complain complain gripe gripe, already talked to Customer Care twice before, they keep xfering me. Web Orders: "Sorry, I'll try to get a buddy to call back, but call them again and let them know what you've been through
  • Call back Customer Service....
  • Wait...wait...wait
  • Explain I've been transferred multiple times, explain situation, he apologizes, says he'll bump my order and I'll see text acknowledging order will arrive on 19th.
  • Get text saying "Your order should arrive by Friday 9/19"

So, after about 2 hours of waiting and talking and waiting and talking they bumped my order up so it would match what the website originally said it would ship on. I was always polite and (relatively) calm with the rep, sympathizing how busy they must be, and acknowledging it was T-Mobile's systems and not them personally that I was upset with. They were always apologetic, and at the end someone FINALLY was able to make things right.

Now, let's see if it actually DOES arrive on Friday.

I'll be delivered between those times not shipped. Tmobile wrote it right on the website, according to you, if it ships 9/19 with over night, you'll get it 9/22..whats wrong here?

  • RoboLady says the same thing as MyTmobile
  • Bank account charged 9/16
  • Received text and e-mail saying delivery is on Friday around 6:30pm PST tonight
  • On MyTmobile it says my order has shipped but the UPS site just says a label has been created and not shipped? Also the UPS site doesn't have my full address, just the city?

that is definitely the router, a single phone package is less than 1.5 lbs (if that)

I paid for overnight shipping, so if shipped on 9/19 would be delivered 9/22, not "between 9/22 and 9/30". Why pay for overnight shipping if it could be up to 8 days late? That's the problem.
 
It's also possible that the messages were only queued up for the people who made the Friday delivery deadline. This guy cancelling possibly just opened up a space for one more person to get their device on Friday.
What do you mean? Im not sure I understand. All I know is the guy never even got an order number and that the order was cancelled by t-mobile. I believe as soon as you put in the order then a message with you shipping estimate at the time is set to be sent on a certain day.
 
we should all remember people, no matter what a text or email from T-Mobile says.... this is the same company that told us a Pre-Order was absolutely happening at 12 AM PST/3 AM EST and then we got strung along into this, assuming everything would just work.

if you don't have UPS tracking, don't get your hopes up! you'll feel better tempering those expectations.

I just got an email from T-Mobile stating that this is an update on my pre-order. It said....Thank you for your iPhone pre-order. We have seen very high pre-order demand since the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus launch was announced, and want to assure you that your order is a priority for us. We will be sending you an update on the status of your order in the next 1 to 2 days, which will include when we expect your iPhone to be delivered.

I ordered on 09/12/2014 around 8:00pm
my status is still backorder and it says pending shipment.
Iphone 6+ 64gb space grey also payed for UPS Express.
 
It seems they did a mass change status from "Backordered" to "Pre-Order". I think it is just a terminology change, not an indication of action.

Wooh! Did you ever get a separate email/text telling you your tracking #?

I'm in the same boat of receiving the 9/22-9/30 message. Who did you complain to? Did they say they fixed it or did you just randomly get the new Friday message?
 
Just received a text and an e-mail from TMO! It says I will receive my Iphone 6+ on Friday and they will send me tracking information shortly! My order went through on the 12th at 5:00am Pacific time! No jump! Adding an extra line to my wife's account.

Because you're confusing shipping date with delivery date. There is no guarantee it will ship on the 19th. That "between 9/22 and 9/30" is most likely based off a shipping date between 9/19 and 9/29.
