Pretty weird my package was shipped today, UPS only ships Saturday for air packages. That's probably why we don't have tracking, UPS won't move them until Monday.

Well mine is going air and I got the tracking number today but it hasn't been scanned by UPS, so I can only assume it's not shipping until Monday

My wife's T-Mobile preorder is still MIA. All she got was a "your order is our priority, we'll notify you as soon as soon as we get an update on stock."

Just so happened to walk into the Apple Store around 7PM, waved my iPhone 6 Plus at the blue shirts and the security guards, told them I was looking only for accessories. They let me in without a hitch.vThere was a relatively large line and crowd in front of the store for iPhone reservations and onlookers.

While inside, I already assumed that there was no stock left of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, so while checking out the leather cases, I struck up some small talk with a rep and he told me about his day and how long the lines were opening day as well as this morning and all day. He confirmed, "Yeah, we're all out of 6 Pluses. We only got single digit inventory this morning."

I asked him, "Do you get stock during the day as well?"

He responded, "Yes. But they go out as fast they come in." He was fiddling with the Point-of-Sale iPhone and happened to check inventory and said, "Hey, cool. We actually do have some 6 Pluses right now, T-Mobile... 64GB and 128GB. Did you want another one?"

My eyes lit up. I said, "Sure. Do you do carrier financing?"

"Yes, let me get a hold of a free salesperson for you."

I was out the door in 20 minutes with the last 64GB iPhone 6 Plus Space Grey for my kid. Only $100 + tax down payment, rest financed through T-Mobile EIP. My wife declined to get the remaining 64GB or 128GB iPhone 6 Pluses in Silver, as she opted to wait for the Space Grey as well. Mind you, the line remained pretty long up until the close.

Conclusion: If you're inside the store, all bets are off.

Was it actually an EIP or was it the Barclay's 24 month financing? I thought they couldn't do T-Mobile EIP's?

So apple does carrier financing for tmobile!?!?!

So apple does carrier financing for tmobile!?!?!

Yes, the part that took the longest was the store rep trying to navigate her way around the T-Mobile POS system on her iPad. Gave my account information, gave my daughter's iPhone number, checked off upgrade, and voila, done.

So online they don't allow you to do it.. but in store they can! that would have been good to know on launch day! =/

After looking at the Silver iPhone 6 plus.. i think i prefer that one over the space gray! I like that the silver has the white on the front which allows you to differentiate between the bezel and screen. with the space gray it all looks black! DAMMIT!!! EFF my life! lol now I'm gonna be stuck with the Space Gray!! lol

Mind. Blown.

Welp, I know where I'll be next September. Sorry T-Mobile--you guys suck at iPhone sales. Hell, even when all the hype dies down and I grab a 6 for the wife, I'll probably go through Apple lol.

Why the hell is this not advertised more?? I had heard rumblings of it, but never got any concrete info on whether or not you could do EIP at Apple. Good to know!

Thats the reason why I went with my Silver 5S and after a year I started to miss the all black look :p

Was it actually an EIP or was it the Barclay's 24 month financing? I thought they couldn't do T-Mobile EIP's?

Definitely not Barclaycard. Already have that card used to finance my MacBook. This is purely on T-Mobile's interest-free financing.

The only downside was a miscommunication: I was initially going to trade in my daughter's iPhone 5s and preorder the iPhone 6 Plus at the T-Mobile store, but they quoted me up to 6 weeks for delivery. I asked them if they do EIP at Apple, and the store manager confirmed a resounding "Yes." That's when I happened to go to the Apple Store a day later just to see the line and check out the accessories.

When I took advantage of the iPhone 6 Plus they had in stock, I was able to finance it on the spot, but when I went back to the T-Mobile store to tell them I want to trade in my daughter's iPhone 5s, they wouldn't take it back, saying the trade-in is accepted during a purchase or preorder. It's not like I can hand back the iPhone 5s and pay the difference ($425 balance, trade-in value $352, supposed cash to payoff EIP is $72), and then the EIP is satisfied. Obviously, Apple doesn't take in trade-ins to pay off the EIP (but it just dawned on me that I could've traded in the iPhone 5s for a Apple Store Gift card and made a larger down payment, DOH!)

So, I'm stuck with two EIPs for the time being. But, I'm certain I can resell my daughter's unlocked 16GB iPhone 5s for at least $425 on eBay or Craigslist, then just pay off the EIP.

Mind you, I didn't test the JUMP! upgrade, because only my line in my family had JUMP!, and I preordered with T-Mobile and received it Friday via UPS. So, this one is a straight upgrade, and even though I still have an EIP balance on my daughter's line for her iPhone 5s, they allowed me to get another EIP started on the same line.

Looks like there'll be six planes landing at various times in the morning. Oh how I hope I get an update tomorrow.
