I work at gamestop who obviously does reservations alot, And guess what we have the product DAY 1 FOR ALL CUSTOMERS WHO RESERVED and MOST if not ALL of those who didnt. Its not difficult its all about working with vendors and getting the job done.
 
Pre-ordered on the 12th, order went through in the afternoon. Non-Jump.

Ordered my 16 GB Gold 6+ first. Then, placed an order for my wife's Silver 16 GB 6.

She got hers on Launch Day.

My Gold 16 GB 6+ remains on backorder, no date, no cc charge, no text, no date in the source code on the order page.

T-Mobile reps I've talked to have quoted the 22nd-30th over the phone. They told me re-ordering a 6 or a 6+ wouldn't really get me a phone faster, but I'm tempted to test it out...
 
I was rather excited to switch to T-Mobile for wifi calling and to save a few bucks. We preordered on at 5:49AM PST 9/12, and immediately signed the EIP. On Saturday 9/20, I was disappointed that the ship date was 9/23. However, on Sunday, our preorder disappeared completely from their system - I called twice, gave up after 15 minutes hold on the first, stuck through 20 on the second, and they created a ticket for the problem and said I should call back on Monday. On Monday, after three calls with 20 minutes hold time (each), they finally said that we need to start a new order from scratch, with an estimated ship time of 8 weeks. It was totally lost / deleted, for no obvious reason.

We will likely renew again with AT&T as soon as T-Mobile's 15 day order purge date passes (to guarantee that they won't rediscover our order after a database repair and send us redundant iPhones). AT&T's 2015 wifi calling addition (stupidly announced on release day, rather than before) will address my main concern, and I'm happy to pay slightly more to have some assurance of competence.
 
I placed my second order 30 minutes ago and already it's different from my first. The first order never had an alert on the right side about a new order and it doesn't show up in my activity and alerts section, even now. The second order popped up right away. I think you're right about the orders not going through correctly.

Right. Mine was completely different the second time. I get emails instead of texts. I got the "Enjoy Your New Phone" email hours after and even my card has the payment as pending until shipment. I got none of that the first time.

I think there was a server transfer that weekend and the data was corrupted. If you have order numbers then get in touch with the exec team and see what they can do for you.
 
Models ordered: iPhone 6 64 GB Space Grey (2), iPhone 6+ 64GB Space Grey (1)
TIme ordered: Saturday 9/13
Status: Both iPhone 6's were delivered 9/20, still waiting for 6+
Card charged: Yes for iPhone 6's, No for iPhone 6+

So I did the same deal, got up on 9/12 and spent all night trying to order. No luck, and still no luck later that day. Finally got the online orders to go in on 9/13 around midday. Got the same useless texts that just confused everyone. No update until I saw that my card was charged for the two iPhone 6's on 9/18. Then got an email from UPS saying Next Day Delivery (which I didn't order so they must have upgraded me). The two iPhone 6's arrived on 9/20, much to my surprise. Of course neither of them were mine but my wife and daughter were happy.

Now I'm still waiting on the iPhone 6+. My order status went from Backordered, to Pre-Order, now back to Backordered. To make matters worse, I got an email from UPS saying my order was shipping next day air and would arrive on 9/22, so I did the happy dance. On the morning of 9/22, I got another email from UPS saying they could not deliver my order and would have an estimated delivery date once the shipment arrived at their facility. So now I have no idea when my phone will arrive, its been a bit of a roller coaster ride with this process.

Has anyone else had the experience of being told that the phone had shipped (including a tracking number) to then be told the next day that it wasn't?

This happened to me. I was able to pick up my phone with Will Call at my UPS processing center. Do you have any updates today? I didn't see any movement on my phone until 12:30am this morning.

Happened to me too. I ordered on the 12th at 8 AM at the store. Signed the EIP in the store as soon as it hit my email. Waiting and waiting with no updates and then on Monday, I got a text saying my order was canceled. They have no reason as to why. So I had to re-order another one and now I have to wait till who knows when

I did and they said 6 weeks. After placing my second order I got a text that said estimated delivery date is 2 weeks out. I don't think the 6 weeks was necessarily accurate, probably a safe estimate, but who knows how long it will take.

I order 6+ 16gb space gray. On the 12th at 5pm ET. Still no charge or tracking no. I ordered another phone on the 20th. First it said pending shipping and now it says backordered.

This is very true and pathetic. Good call out though. I have never had this much trouble getting an iphone at launch... although first time with t-mobile. Others were with verizon and att.

I called tmobile store. They said if I place an order at the tmobile store it will arrive in 4-7 business day. I don't know if I should order it or wait for the 2 phones I already ordered.
 
Just received the ******** email from Joel Chavez... the copy paste one everyone is getting! How long after this should i be expecting a call from someone?

I got a call about 4 hours later I think.

Now I'm kind of torn about trying a second order. I just so happened to order my phone in what is apparently a popular color, my order does show up in the alerts section of MyTmobile, and I did get an initial email once I placed the order and the email about 22-30 days. I just haven't gotten anything since, nor was my card ever charged. No pre-authorization or anything. Plus, there are people that have ordered the same phone after me and received it already.
 
LMAO I just talked to a supervisor over chat and told her i would pay my phone bill 6 weeks late this upcoming month because i was guaranteed a phone on the 19th and didn't get it. so they won't get their payment when i guaranteed them they would get it! she was like no... lets find a way to resolve this and i just X'd it out! Im so frustrated with this whole thing!

If you used JUMP, can you do it again? I didn't JUMP for either order.
