I wouldn't worry yet. Unless TMO changed out their dart-board priority method, you could get yours before anyone waiting on here.
When did you order? Mine did that for a while - said backordered, but had an expected delivery date that kept changing every day - I think the system was assuming if sent out within a normal processing time. It eventually disappeared for me. Now no date shows up, just says backordered.
Went with my partner today to upgrade his phone and got my hands on the (display) 6 plus. Confirmed that I have to have it... Now.
I would not cancel and reorder I work for Apple online store and I haven't seen any 6 plus space grey ordered on the 12th with a estimated delivery sooner than mid October and that's threw apple not tmobile.
Pending Credit Card Charge
I ordered on 9/19 two 6+ Gold and a 5s 16GB Gold. When I called, they told me that the charge that I see on my card is a Hold. That my card won't actually be charged until the phones ship. They will all ship together so the phone that takes them the longest to receive will determine my shipping date.
Order status still shows 'Being Processed', and from the looks of the posts on here, it will stay that way for some time to come.
Another note, yes VZW may have the phones in stock because they are a larger company, but may not be selling as many as T-Mobile due to this being a good time to Jump ship while getting new phones. That's what I'm going to do as I am currently on VZW until my new T-Mobile phones come. I expect that with the iPhone 6 release, T-Mobile may put the hurts on the other 3 companies again this Quarter.
