Problem is you can either pay full price, or pray for a non-existant T-Mobile version of the phone and they can swing the EIP. Both options suck. T-Mobile needs to get their act together.



See, I've never had to preorder an iPhone ever. I'd always been with AT&T and always managed to get one on launch day or that weekend just by checking stock and walking in, either at the Apple Store, or AT&T store. I don't mind driving an hour or two to get it either.



With T-Mobile, however, your only option appears to be ordering through them and waiting 4-6 weeks, or 6-8 weeks as I've been quoted now. If I could order through Apple.com they're quoting 3-4. I don't get why T-Mobile is such an outcast here. They can't even provide you definite dates.

I don't know if this even matters, but my friend went to Verizon last night (in San Diego) and bought seven (yes seven :eek:) phones, two Pluses and five 6's. She was given an estimated delivery date of end of October. So seems to match more closely to Apple's estimates. Hopefully t-mobile is now just overcompensating for the mess they put themselves in and giving extended estimates...

still sucks that people who ordered on the 12th are still waiting. sorry guys! :(

Wow its crazy that they are shipping unicorn phones to people who ordered on the 19th when there are those of us that ordered much earlier and nothing.

So I had sent an email earlier today complaining about it and I just got a call back from the ERT. Very nice lady, same spiel as everyone else got. Order is active but backordered, the 64GB SG 6+ is by far the most popular phone, they have requested extra inventory from Apple which arrives daily. Order will be shipped when phone arrives (not quite sure how to jive that with the messages that newer orders are getting filled). Acknowledged the system issues that sent out incorrect texts to people with delivery dates. Says my order is on a "monitored list" for activity and they would call back in 72 hours.

Must be a crap job to have to call all these angry people. I was very nice to her on the phone, no sense in taking out my frustration on her. She did give me a month's credit on my bill for $250 which was really my main goal, its not like she can just miracle a phone to me.

Glad some of the 19th-ers are getting their phones but sad that I don't have mine yet...

It's the other way around - you can use a Verizon phone on any carrier (except Sprint), so it's actually the most flexible of all. Tmobile is GSM unlocked, and probably has the right hardware, but Verizon only allows their whitelisted phones onto their CDMA network. I think I heard that Tmobile phones would work on Verizon in some limited way though, but not worth it.

I've gotten each iPhone on launch day, starting with the first one, so: iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S. This has been easily the worst of all. Each prior launch I either had to line up (because there weren't preorders yet), or if there were preorders, I always had them delivered on (or even before!) launch day. But this was with ATT and VZW.

I wish they would call me back. I completely agree. It's screwed up and no sense being mean to anyone, for anyanyreasonreason. It's not that individuals fault.

I completely understand your frustration with later orders being fulfilled first, but being charged doesn't necessarily equate to having the phone shipped. So, I'm not sure if getting this person's order number will help you just yet. I'd wait until their order has actually been shipped.

If/when it ships and I receive it, then sure. Until then, it could be meaningless.

I was just kidding around with my celebration. Plenty of people have been charged days ago, not got their phones shipped, and even got their orders cancelled.

Spoke to an exec today who gave me $100 credit for the inconvenience. He said they have 60k preorders to still process from just the preorder weekend.

He said that 90% of the time, the texts we received are accurate, but due to the sheer number of preorders, they couldn't keep up.
 
Went into a T-Mobile store on 22nd and was told that the SG 6+ 64gb was in stock at the warehouse and I could have it overnighted to me. Well either overnight is taking a real long time or they lied to me.

What's worse is that I put in a separate order for a 5s which is readily available from Apple both at the store and online but it's going to take T-Mobile at least 2 weeks to ship it to me.

T_Mobile is terrible. Thing is that I really want to stay with them because of their pricing. I'm even willing to deal with the semi-ok signal strength. If it wasn't for them the pricing at AT&T and Verizon would never have changed.

I ordered a router this weekend over phone and asked if I can order multiple, they said only one per account. Then I was charged $32.64 thrice with 3 new orders on my T-Mobile site. Thought that they'll drop charges for two and cancel the orders.

Today I got charged for the *UNICORN* and just received a USP My Choice email with a tracking number. The weight of package is 9.50 lbs!!!!!!

Are they 3 routers or 3 routers + 6 plus or what?

Why are you paying $32.64 for each router?

They don't send routers and iPhones together.
