Question if you dont mind.

If I do a trade in on Apples site but using T-mobiles trade in offer am I sending the phone in to T-mobile or Apple?

T-mobiles seems to be more lenient with their trade in conditions.
Im looking at trading my sons phones in for 16s. They have no glass or screen damage but they arent in perfect condition.

I really appreciate any help.

Do you know if the Apple care with p360 includes theft + loss?
It’s AppleCare+ (no theft) for the first 2 years. Anything lost or stolen is handled through Assurant, the insurance policy holder for P360. After 2 years, everything is done through Assurant.

Edit: I didn’t answer your original question. I went full infodump. My bad.

If you buy through Apple, but you’re doing a T-mobile promo, you’re trading in through T-mobiles trade in standards. Not Apple. I’ll leave the bottom stuff in case anyone else wants to know what T mobiles trade in policy is from a reliable source.

T-Mobile only really seems to care about 3 things:

-Is the front screen damaged? (This includes hairline cracks, gouges, deep scratches. Read the the fine print carefully). The back could be trashed and they don’t care. Also 3rd party screens that are not genuine Apple parts are no longer accepted.

-water damaged? If the LDI is tripped, no dice. Also if it was repaired by 3rd party, and they removed the LDI sticker? No trade.

-does it turn on?

T-mobile does seem to be more lenient, I would just inquire with them directly about their trade in policy on whatever promotion you’re trying to get. Good luck.

Thanks! Currently debating dropping p360 as I only had it for yearly upgrades, I’m now on go5g next which offers yearly upgrades. I don’t think I want to deal with Assurant for theft/loss.

Considering it's next day air I wouldn't be surprised to see movement very early in the morning. In years past it has been like that; only recently has movement happened on Wednesday or Thursday because of 2 or 3 day shipping.
oof I’m going to have an aneurysm if I have to go to bed tonight still seeing no movement 😂

Per UPS My Choice - Package from TMobile is in Louisville "We Have Your Package" with estimated delivery tomorrow by 7:00 PM.

No email/notification from TMobile, and order still shows "Ships by 9/20/2024"
Update: I've now received two emails from TMobile about tracking and setting up a new eSim

From my personal experience for the phones that are shipping next day air, you won't see anything till the origin scan gets pinged, and that is usually later at night the night before.
I'm in the same boat.
I ordered 2 Pro's with my business account rep first thing Friday morning.
Right now if I look at the order, it says they're shipping first week of October.
If I log into UPS, I can see that the label has been created. But that's it.
Despite that, I still expect to get the notifications later tonight that they're on the way...

Try not to worry about it. I have a business account with about 30 lines so I'm always ordering phones.
They are always shipped next day and 99% of the time I get the shipped notifications usually after 9PM and then the phones show up the next day.
This includes pre-orders. Assuming you got in early enough...
Like @macfan406 said, most of the people who see action are the ones who's phones don't ship overnight.

That’s really good to know, sounds reasonable. I’ll delay the rest of my obsessive tracking page refreshing until after 9 ;)
