You can't do that. T-Mobile won't do a cash and carry like that. It HAS to be associated with a T-Mobile account regardless of if you pay in full when you buy it. The only way to "anonymously" buy a phone is to buy an unlocked variant from Apple.
If you buy it from tmobile it is locked to tmobile if you buy it from Apple the phone comes unlocked for GSM US carriers and will come with a tmobile Sim, but it also works on AT&T possibly Verizon and most US carriers.

It means it's back ordered in their SAP ERP system. Not too concerning yet since the phone isn't released. I wouldn't take it as a sign that you will or won't get the phone when you were promised.
This crazy I ordered mine on 9/12 smh but I did get a text saying they should ship it out by the 24th
Like I said. The phone isn't released so they don't have any physical inventory. That's the definition of back ordered. It's a technical term which is why I suggested not to read too much into it.
I've received confirmation of shipping emails with tracking numbers on both phones ordered for the SECOND time on 9/14.

I've set up a delivery exception to my nearest UPS store. That way I don't have to be home and I can go get it after work and not worry about it getting stolen from my front porch.

Where is it saying this? I just have a window saying it's being processed, and then the Explorer page says both are expected to ship by 9/24.

I don't think it's a linear flow. I ordered the 19th, got charged yesterday, and ship confirmation/tracking info today.

I ordered 128 GB 6s+ on the morning of Sept. 12 via phone. The card was charged last night, and status says shipped. There is a UPS tracking number, however - the UPS site says that only a shipping label has been created. Fingers crossed.
BS. The launches always result in preorder demand and these same logistics exercises. The release date is the release date. Apple has a well oiled process for getting the hardware out on the date they announce as the release date. Not doubting that the supervisor told you that but they're completely wrong.
Yes, go to UPS and search by reference using your phone number and you should see the label was created.
