T-Mobile: iPhone 6S/6S Plus Pre-Order Thread:

Just got my text for my 6s plus. The only phone left of the three in the account is the rose gold 6s.
This works out for us great. The 6s plus is my device and I'm dying without the extra storage lol. The 6s that already shipped is technically going to be my moms device but we will just be giving that to my wife until her rose gold makes it here. Since my mom is on our account and we just signed up for tmobile we basically decided to get here the new device since, well, why not? She doesn't even care about getting anew phone, but I think she will enjoy the added storage. And it's free! So why not?!

No, that's your remaining balance including the lease payments you'll be making.
If you paid for it in full, it comes factory unlocked. This would already be in the system and common knowledge to T-Mobile. If you did not pay for it in full, it will not be unlocked.
Even if paid in full one has to wait 30 days to get it unlocked by TMobile...........

Not true. I purchased a 6 for my mom May this year. Paid in full and was instantly unlocked. And this is from a T-Mobile corporate store.
T mobile charged my credit card and it's a sign that my phone will be shipped soon. But, they charge me the shipping. I thought it's free shipping for preorders.
And, as an added supporting claim, I called T-Mobile yesterday to have them unlock my phone. Instead of giving it to them, I'm just gonna sell it. He unlocked it and 1hr later I had the unlock email. Checked just now on the IMEI website and my phone says unlocked.

Received an amended JoD agreement and "Payment Has Been Processed" email last night--both had the status as "shipped". Checked UPS and sure enough there it is.
Ordered right away on the 12th, received JoD e-docs later that night and signed right away.
Call them and they'll credit it IF they haven't done so already (IE check your online statement).
I bought a 6 and 6+ last year with full price and they would'nt do it............they will not do it during release time so that you cant sell it on ebay for higher price.....they may do it after few months of release as the demand supresses........but if you buy the Tmobile version from Apple i think it comes unlocked but not when you buy it from Tmobile
I was originally scheduled for delivery between 10 am and 2 pm today, but I just received an update from UPS saying that something has changed and they cannot deliver yet.
As I expected and everyone has been predicting, its ready to ship, but it won't be shipped and delivered until this Friday. But hey, at least we have phones and will be receiving them on launch day!
Now the release date/time restriction may in fact be true.
I've also heard a similar, yet unconfirmed, piece of gossip that if you don't have an American ID/Driver's License, you can't buy iPhone(s) from American Apple Stores. Apparently to combat the arrival of Chinese "tourists" that showed up in America suddenly during the iPhone 6/6 Plus launch, ushered into line by their "bus drivers", who couldn't speak a lick of English yet wanted the new iPhone.
Does anyone remember that debacle?
Last year I sold a 6plus to a guy 2 days after launch for 200 over what I paid T-Mobile. They would not unlock it after I paid the balance. They said had to show 30 days use on my account first. It's bs...

Yes THAT is correct because you have an account with T-Mobile and it curbs you selling for more money. If he simply purchased it without a phone line acocunt connected, I'm 97% sure it would come unlocked (I say 97% because I've never purchased one in full around launch time). Now if he opened up a line of service to get the phone, then yeah he'll have to wait.
EDIT: Just confirmed with an account Rep. If you purchase a device not connected to an account in full, it's unlocked. Purchase connected to an account, unlocked after 30 days.
Can't u just go to ups and ask for ur pick up? Maybe they will give it to u at their dispatch if they are holding it
