I am in the same boat as you, I pre-ordered on the 12th, was told I would be sure to get it on the 25th, but now the UPS tracking says it won't be here until the 29th. I spoke with someone at T-mobile and they told me I should of paid for overnight shipping if I wanted the phone on Friday. I wasn't give an option when I ordered it the phone, I guess it is my fault thinking T-Mobile was like AT&T. AT&T always had free shipping and I always got the phone on day one.

I think my phone definitely is in a truck, because departure scan was at 4:10pm Central time and I live in Chicago, so if it was a flight, it should have landed hours ago. My scheduled arrival is still 25th by 3pm.
I changed my order for the rose gold. The color is definitely pink. And i wasn't going to wait till November to get it. So i ordered the gold, sign eip, and got charged 30 minutes later. Now i play the waiting game.

It always says that after you change the delivery. I do will call every year, and still get the phone on the scheduled day.
Did it this year, saw that status, and now it's set to be available for pick up tomorrow.

Live in LA. Phone departed Louisville but ended up in Albuquerque, New Mexico of all places. A bit confused.
We ordered my wife's iPhone 6s 64GB Silver on the 14th and have a confirmation number and it was free overnight shipping... the phone in in San Antonio already, in fact. I'm really surprised how they gave you the runaround, but with T-Mobile I have decided the best idea is to order in the store vs. online/phone. The phone people don't know what the eff they're doing.
I saw some posts about SIMs earlier today but had to work and haven't caught up on all the new pages here. I'm upgrading from a 5s and I think I read the SIM card in the 6s is a different size. I was with Verizon previously so this is my first phone change since being with t-mobile. Do I just activate the new phone when it arrives? And with t-mo, is that done online or from the handset? I am assuming it's correct to wait for this to be done before I do a restore from iTunes, correct?

The SIM is the same- just swap it, you should be good.
My phone won't leave SDF until the am as there is a flight to Albany GA (serves as the airport hub/cargo for my part of GA)

I doubt it. The origin scan should have showed up on the 21st when the label was created if you preordered it. If it just got to Louisville today, probably not, but like I said 12 pages ago, flights will be inbound and outbound like typical releases up until 12:00 am local time depending how far you are from the hub but if you're out here in the west in Arizona, if you don't see it departing by 7-8 pm your time tonight, it won't happen. You still have another hour to cross your fingers!
Someone mentioned earlier, well a few did, that you were charged for overnight shipping because you weren't a Jump or JoD customer. That's wrong. Sprint ships out ALL of their iPhones via 2-day air for free which is just what it says, but they have a deal with UPS to get it to you overnight whether by Ground, 2 day, or Next Day depending on where you live, and regardless of when you ordered.
Like I also said, where Apple sells the phones without the extra 99¢ tagged on at the end..... If your credit is good, for the 16GB it won't make a difference upfront since you pay $0 down but you pay for it on the back end as a full $1.00. For the customers buying 64 and 128 models you pay the 99¢ up front. Apple charges 649, 749, 849, and 949, not 649.99, 749.99, 849.99, or 949.99. What does this mean for T-Mobile? Well let's assume they sell 4 million 64GB models, 2 million 128GB models, and 3 million 16GB models. They will earn an extra $8,940,000 off those extra digits. Seems kind of stingy of them if you ask me, plus charging you for overnight shipping if you didn't have a Jump plan.
Without fail, my house is at the end of the UPS delivery. I always get deliveries as late as they'll do them (7pmish). I never have to wait because they'll always deliver once I'm at home.
I hate the fact that I'm going to have to spend hours backing up to my computer since I'm running beta iOS 9.1 on my iPhone 6+. Unless I update to that on my new phone, which I want no betas on, I'll have to do that. Though iOS 9.1 GM should be released on Oct 10 anyway, still....
I always use the new sim card it comes with, its 123 log on to my.t-mobile and update sim card number
