And I thought it was just me. Having a lot of this random shut down of late on my T-mobile iPhone 6. The weird thing is that it reboots very quickly after it shuts down.

From the T-Mobile rep:

I know that WiFi calling is very important but it looks like that may be at the root of the issue at this point (at least on your... 1/2

...device.) I know that Apple and T-Mobile are working hard on getting this resolved as soon as we can. *TR 2/2

I will say that since I have turned WiFi calling off, my device is running MUCH cooler. I'd say it's either a bug in iOS or a problem on T-Mobile's end. Or both...

My T-Mobile 6 was doing this today. I've tried turning wifi calling off, rebooting, then turning wifi calling back on. So far so good, but it's only been 10 minutes. I will update here later.

Update 7:45pm PT: Well more than an hour later, my phone is still stable.

Update 8:45pm PT: Two hours and no crash!

Update: Five hours and still going strong. Before cycling wifi calling, my phone was literally unusable.

Update: Next day (16 hours) and no problems.

This is the only problem I DON'T have with my Tmobile i6.

Although my Tmobile iPad Air did reboot suddenly today. No blue screen, just sudden Apple logo.

My daughter and I both have iPhone 6 plus 128GB phones we got from T-Mobile last September. Just today we BOTH started seeing the exact same problem described here. More than a coincidence I would think.

well, the 8.4beta doesn't solve this. updated my gf's phone. as soon as i took it out of airplane mode it promptly rebooted. trying simply disabling wifi calling to see if that also helps.

Whew! My wife who has an iPhone 6+ has been experiencing this issue since Tuesday. Restore (from backup) won't work. We haven't tried a clean restore yet since it's too time consuming.

We're T-Mobile USA customers currently on international roaming (Philippines through Smart) or WiFi. Wi-Fi calling option is enabled.

Update: Ok, I'm also having the same issues. I have a 6 on T-mobile USA currently roaming in the Philippines.

I have a T-Mobile iPhone 5 running iOS 9 beta 2, I've had a few resets in the past month or so but no blue screens and not on the frequency that people are talking about. Could it have something to do with wifi calling? Those iPhones are capable of it and the iPhone 5 is not.
The 5 is capable, it isn't allowed.

I've never used WiFi calling (played around with it when I first got the phone months ago, but it's been turned off since as it doesn't play nice with my WiFi at work), and I've been having the problem all day....

A growing number of T-Mobile iPhone users are complaining about seeing frequent restarts and "blue screens of death" on their devices, a problem that seems to have begun very recently. MacRumors has received several complaints from readers, and there are also numerous reports of problems on Twitter, Facebook, and reddit.

Affected users are experiencing a split second blue screen that's followed by their devices restarting, and it appears most people who are seeing issues are T-Mobile customers that began having problems last night or this morning.

Known devices with problems include the iPhone 6 Plus, the iPhone 6, and the iPhone 5s, with restarts happening at 10 to 30 minute intervals. Multiple versions of iOS 8 appear to be affected, including iOS 8.1 and iOS 8.3.It is not clear if T-Mobile recently pushed a carrier update that's causing the problem, but a reddit user who spoke with T-Mobile's support staff said that he got the impression that T-Mobile believes a memory problem might be the cause of the restarts. "The sense I got from the technician is that a) they suspect memory problems, and b) they're getting a lot of calls about it," he wrote.

Some users have had success putting a stop to the restarts with a hard reset, and that's the solution that T-Mobile is recommending to customers who call in. If that doesn't work, T-Mobile is instructing customers to clear out their old text messages and do a factory restore via iTunes.

My wife's iPhone 5s started doing this today and it is on AT&T. Very similar symptoms as what is described above.

Anyone else seeing this that is not on T-Moble?

I can tell you it's not just T-Mobile. I work at Verizon and it has happened with a few of our customers at our store. I've only seen it twice, and we did a warranty replacement on it. When I updated my iPhone 6 Plus, a Verizon one, to iOS 9 beta 1 it did it a few times on my phone. Since beta 2 I haven't seen it. Not sure what it is.

We have ATT and have been having a similar problem with one of our two phones (a 4s). No blue screen, but it starts rebooting every 5 minutes or so when it is plugged in for the night. It will do it several nights in a row, then skip some, then start up again. The only solution is to plug the phone in and manually shut it down to allow it to charge. This started about the time the last iOS update was released.
I have the exact same issue on a 4s I use for surfing with no service (previously ATT). I've reset it and issue will sometimes go away but always comes back with exact same symptoms you describe. Started with iOS8 or after Att carrier version update under general/about 19.1. Regarding the blue screen issue I had this happening on ATT 5s numerous times. Seems to have cleared up after device reset.

What a mystery...
Apparently the issue is not just with T-mobile iPhones. My iPhone 5s has not experienced this issue ever and it's running iOS 8.3 with carrier update 19.1.

I'm on AT&T and I had this happen only once the other day. I had iOS 9 beta 1 (now I have beta 2 of course) and I never figured out what caused it. I figured it was because of beta software but I guess this is a much bigger issue.

I got the blue screen of death on my iPhone 6 - within a day of so of accepting t-mobile's latest carrier update

Is it just me, or are all the complaints about iPhones not functioning properly blown way, way out of proportion? I've had no problems with iOS 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8. I've done every software update on those versions and have never had a problem on an iPhone 4, 5, 5S, and 6 Plus, and an iPad 2 and Air 2 (same goes for Mac OS 10.7-10.10 on a 2011 13" MacBook Pro and a 2014 13" Retina MacBook Pro). I'm on T-Mobile and this has never happened. I've never had a battery malfunctioning in some way, never cracked a screen, never had antenna issues, none of this stuff.

I mean, I know you can't judge all Apple products by one person's experience, but by the same token it seems like we judge all iPhones by just a couple very vocal people on the internet. Seems kind of ridiculous.
