Is it just me, or are all the complaints about iPhones not functioning properly blown way, way out of proportion? I've had no problems with iOS 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8. I've done every software update on those versions and have never had a problem on an iPhone 4, 5, 5S, and 6 Plus, and an iPad 2 and Air 2 (same goes for Mac OS 10.7-10.10 on a 2011 13" MacBook Pro and a 2014 13" Retina MacBook Pro). I'm on T-Mobile and this has never happened. I've never had a battery malfunctioning in some way, never cracked a screen, never had antenna issues, none of this stuff.

I mean, I know you can't judge all Apple products by one person's experience, but by the same token it seems like we judge all iPhones by just a couple very vocal people on the internet. Seems kind of ridiculous.

Our phones have been kernel panicking. That's a fact.

Having issues with my AT&T iPhone 5S. Constantly giving me the blue screen when navigating through virtually anything in the phone, such as settings. If not, it'll shut down during standby as if it has no charge despite showing 50% and it'll take 15 minutes to force it to turn on.

Downgraded from beta and restored twice with no luck.

I give up. Time for the Genius Bar. Maybe it's because there are only 2 Apple Stores in St Louis, but is it just me who thinks 4 day wait times are ridiculous?

Mine has been doing this today. I didn't even notice a couple of times until it was forcing me to use my passcode instead of TouchID because of the reboot. I did see the blue screen once and did a shut down and restart. I was thinking of doing a restore tonight anyway to see if that would solve the issue, but then just came upon this thread.

My phone was an ATT designated phone that was purchased full price on launch day and has been used on Tmobile since day one. It is an iPhone 6 Plus.

it is happening on my iPhone 6 and wife's 5s. Started to happen last night (or overnight). Called apple support, cannot work around their schedule (2 days wait for appointment in Houston). Turned off wifi calling which we both had enabled since I don't have t-mobile signal around the house. So far so good.
Disappointing is that apple kept convincing me that it was isolated issue and this happening on two phones is a pure coincidence. WTF? I never win lottery but I got two different models of iPhone going bad at the same time?

When I had to replace my 6 last November, it was 7 days. I dropped in after the lunch hour on a weekday instead, and was out in 30 minutes. They said at the time that they do build additional time in the schedule to allow for emergency drop ins.

My T-Mobile 6 was doing this today. I've tried turning wifi calling off, rebooting, then turning wifi calling back on. So far so good, but it's only been 10 minutes. I will update here later.
A bit more than an hour later, my phone is still stable.

I'm having the same problem to you on my iPhone 6. Currently using international roaming and had Wi-Fi calling enable. I just turned Wi-Fi calling off to see if that fixes the problem.

This issue is not solely TMo. I'm using an iPhone 6 on AT&T and, while I'm not having blue screens, my phone is restarting every 15-20 minutes. It is incredibly annoying. I've been experience this issue for months and been to the a Genius Bar twice for it.

Sounds like a kernel panic.

Go to Settings>Privacy>Diagnostics & Usage>Diagnostics & Usage Data...If you have an error that starts with any number(s) on the very top, it is a kernel panic and you need to get that **** swapped.

I'd be inclined to swap for a one off problem. But I'm going to wait and see what TMo has to say to all of us.

I had a phone that was working with a cracked screen. I just installed a replacement today and this is what I was greeted with. I wonder if it has to do with the fact of the Touch ID button not being the original.

Yep, did this and lots and lots of kernel panics. Odd this is happening all of a sudden to so many people all on the same day (i.e. starting last night) -- would seem to indicate something wrong software-wise, no?

It happened to me twice in a row today. iPhone 6, Tmobile. I was trying to read a story on Yahoo news, it would start loading, then blue screen, reboot. I went back to the same story, blue screen, reboot. My iPhone 6 almost never reboots so I was shocked to see it happen multiple times today. 3rd time, it had lost memory of the website i was trying to visit. I didn't go there, it didn't reboot. Don't know if its related to this thread or not.

iPhone 6 64 GB T-Mobile here. Wifi Calling off, no kernel panics in my Diagnostics and Usage log. In the About tab in Settings, Carrier is T-Mobile 19.1. No issues at all, hoping to keep it this way.

It's not just happening on iPhones. Something similar has happened on my three-week-old iPad mini 3, wifi only. Once last week and just now it flashed the Apple logo for maybe 10 seconds and then sent me back to the lock screen.

There's a post on Tumblr asking if anyone else is experiencing restarts. It has over 75,000 likes and reblogs with people experiencing restarts on a bunch of different iOS devices.

A growing number of T-Mobile iPhone users are complaining about seeing frequent restarts and "blue screens of death" on their devices, a problem that seems to have begun very recently. MacRumors has received several complaints from readers, and there are also numerous reports of problems on Twitter, Facebook, and reddit.

Affected users are experiencing a split second blue screen that's followed by their devices restarting, and it appears most people who are seeing issues are T-Mobile customers that began having problems last night or this morning.

Known devices with problems include the iPhone 6 Plus, the iPhone 6, and the iPhone 5s, with restarts happening at 10 to 30 minute intervals. Multiple versions of iOS 8 appear to be affected, including iOS 8.1 and iOS 8.3.It is not clear if T-Mobile recently pushed a carrier update that's causing the problem, but a reddit user who spoke with T-Mobile's support staff said that he got the impression that T-Mobile believes a memory problem might be the cause of the restarts. "The sense I got from the technician is that a) they suspect memory problems, and b) they're getting a lot of calls about it," he wrote.

Some users have had success putting a stop to the restarts with a hard reset, and that's the solution that T-Mobile is recommending to customers who call in. If that doesn't work, T-Mobile is instructing customers to clear out their old text messages and do a factory restore via iTunes.

This has been happening to me all day! My sister and I are on a tmobile plan and her phone started acting up first and them mine did later in the day. she has the 5c running 8.3 and i have the 5s running 8.3. After calling apple their solution was to do factory resets and restore from backups. But mine still blue screen a little while later!

My Wifi-only iPad Air 2 has done this multiple times today. It's usually when zooming in fast on Safari or Photos. It hasn't happened at all on my unlocked iPhone 6 on AT&T
