I pre ordered the iPhone 6 plus last year with them, being promised next day shipping. They led the people in line to believe we'd get it literally the next day. Turns out they had no inventory so it'd be a long wait.
I was unable to cancel my order the following week and got my iPhone two months later in the mail (it was already readily available in retail a while by then). I tried to return it, so they had me ship it back. I got no credit for another 3 months despite many calls to check on it. Finally a customer service rep made it their mission to find out what happened and I got credited.
After this long and painful ordeal I decided I'll never pre order anything from T Mobile again. I would advise anyone who cares about getting it fast to consider literally any other option.
When they say you're first in line with the program you think this means you'll get it within days of release but it could be several months. It's too early to tell.
after about a thousand website crashes and refreshes and phone calls on preorder day, and two weeks of hand wringing on this board, I got my iphone 6 on time last year, in the mail on release day. maybe it was different for the plus though?
Yes, tax on my amount you pay upfront (like $100+tax on the 64GB model), and tax every month on your bill for the amount billed.Do we pay tax with the jump on demand
Q1; Do they come unlocked?
Q2; If we pay it off before 18 months, does it get unlocked?
Q3; If we pay it off before 18 months, do we get the full 18 month discount OR do we lose the discounts for the remaining months? ($7 off per month for 18 months)..
Q4; If we put a down payment of etc. $250, does that mean that the lease will end early OR the remaining balance will be spread to the 18 month?
Q5: In any month, what happens if you pay more than your lease? For example in the 3rd month you wanted to pay $60 towards your lease instead of $20..

I don't work for T-Mobile or any wireless carrier. Take my answers with a grain of salt, but this is what I believe to be true based on my experience with T-Mobile and being on the JOD plan already:
1. No
2. No - you have to request.
3. Yes - in the end, you pay around 450 for an iPhone 6S, 16gb
4. Lease will end earlier and you either give the phone up and upgrade or you buy it outright
5. I think it this will go towards the payments in the end. You'll still pay another $20 the next month, but you'll end up with 2 fewer payments in the end if you decided to put $60 down one month.
It depends on the model. If you get 16GB, it's $0 down if you get 64GB is $99 downso theres still a $99 down payment? incould have swore i read there was $0 upfront like with att and apple thenselves? why would we have to make a down payment?
Yeah, in Chicago I rolled up and bought a 128GB iPhone 6 at a store and took it home for the wife. That was around noon on launch day. There was also tons of inventory for it all the way into afternoon even evenings. The plus though sold out so fast even people who waited in line couldn't get it.
I wonder if they'll be better prepared this year, but I don't think that's possible given how many they sell.
Yes any working phone will do.do we have to turn in any phones to start JOD for the first time and get this promotional price?
Yes any working phone will do.
So...
Who gets their preorders first???
Preorders placed on Apple's website by paying full price of the device?
or
Preorders placed with T-Mobile's JUMP program over the phone?

I guarantee you Apple pre-orders get there first. Apple hoards all the stock to maximize their own sales (since they don't have to give a cut to anyone if they sell it themselves... where as they have to give a commission to carriers/retailers).
If the priority is to get it fast, go with Apple and/or a scalper. If the priority is to get the most convenient deal (carrier financing) then you're just going to have to get ready to wait.
Though I think with T-Mobile its better to do carrier financing. AppleCare+ is so expensive now and the $10/month JUMP fee covers accidental damage AND if its lost or stolen.
The stolen/lost is a nice bonus. You can get a refund on unused AC+ though, so it's not really $129 for one year, even with yearly upgrades.I'd have to agree. both JUMP and applecare+ cost $120 for the year (techincally for 2 years for AC+ but i'm assuming yearly upgrades here), but the deductible is $175 on JUMP vs $75 for AC+. Now, you have to pay for AC+ upfront vs monthly with JUMP, so in that way, still a wash with out of pocket costs, if something happens to the phone. And lost/stolen is a big bonus.
