T-mobile put out a press release with the following:
"T-Mobile Un-leashes iPad Air Nov. 1 Starting at $0 Down - with Free Data for Life"
"When you buy a product as amazing as iPad, you should be able to connect when and where you want, simply and affordably," said John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile. "
By offering free data for life with incredible upfront pricing, T-Mobile is un-leashing customers to fully enjoy iPad as it was meant to be enjoyed - mobile and connected."

WTF am I supposed to think they wee offering? Yes, it sounded like a fantastic deal. But plenty of companies offer great deals upfront to get customers "in the door". Its not like they were potentially giving away free iPads, jut free financing. Best Buy, furniture stores, etc. have interest free financing on a daily basis.
T-Mobile pulled a bait & switch at worst and had a really poorly worded press release at best. Go out on Google & see how many blogs & mainstream media outlets all reported $0 down/no interest AND 200MB free for life.
So many people cannot be wrong.
