iPhone is not essential
well, I use my iPhone almost every day.
for many people, it’s considered essential I’d say. Not all, but most people would agree that it has become quite popular
EXACTLY. You will wait.... those with the latest iPhone won’t have to wait. That’s the nature of speed.
better mobile game play. 5G will enable multiplayer online gaming at speeds better than a lot of WiFi. So if you are an elite gamer with mad skills things just got a lot better

I know it’s just games but you asked and this came to my mind.multi camera sports broadcasts seemed really interesting - I’d love to see an nfl game in the stadium and also have access to half a dozen camera views on my phone. And with 5G we can all do it without overloading the connection bandwidth.
how about making videos? New video making on iPhone 12 pro is supposed to be double plus good!
more horsepower saves time. So maybe I save a minute of life daily. What’s that worth? For me that’s worth some rectangle shaped green paper tokens we call cash. The minutes are worth more than the cash.
while those with vintage iPhones are staring at their screens waiting for something, I’m checking out the scenery with my fast as hell late model iPhone

living simple is cool but what’s up with rocking an iPhone 5 in 2020. Doesn’t sound secure. Does he drive a beat up car with bald tires down the freeway too? This is an oddity.
does he have a verison account for $120 per month on that iPhone 5 worth $40 prolly? Doesn’t make sense. Give him your phone at least

Well, for one, the processor is what allows the iPhone to keep getting updates for 5-6 years (and possibly more). This also helps iPhones retain more of their resale value (consumers are more open to buying second hand iPhones if they know they will continue to be supported for many more years to come), which goes towards offsetting the higher price of a newer iPhone for people looking to upgrade.
The new pro models also sport the ability to process and edit raw and HDR video, so I am guessing the extra processing power (and the extra ram) will go a long way towards making this feel much speedier.
It's really all the little things, especially 2-3 years down the road.
That is the beauty of the iPhone! You get all of its power for free despite not appreciating it! It is like electricity, you use it but ungraciously take it for granted. If you had to produce it yourself you would have no clue! You would be back in cave man times! That is the secret to the iPhone! I hope you don't just use it for making phone calls! lol
