just compare mine to what was just posted, how can you say that it looks fine compared to that

Because you still had 28% left. You could have gotten a lot more standby and usage time out of that 28%. The other poster ran his down to 1%. You're would've been much closer to that. Especially since a significant bit of that time would have been while you were asleep and not using your phone.

Screenshots prove nothing, they're very high level. We have no idea how you have used your phone in comparison to him.

At this point you should just go in anyway, because you're clearly convinced that your battery is bad.

you wouldn't even go to apple to make sure?

haha the type of post I was after :p

Looks fine to me. I think you're not noticing how much you're on the phone. Y buddy has verizon and gets double the speed I do. Does that mean my previous 4 phones are all bad?

No complaints here.....

The battery is just not living up to what everyone else is saying 4:30pm here been in class since 10 and I have 28%

such a disappointment :(

has anyone else had issues?

Browsing with close to full or full brightness will kill any battery, although it's also important to note that while the 6+ has a bigger battery, it's still not as big as most phones in its size bracket - most of which are 3k+ mAh.

Couple that with how bright the whites/nit is on the iPhones 6's, and your battery life will suffer if at max brightness.

i'm at low brightness

You guys have absolutely no idea what "usage" means. You can't compare two phones based on what "usage" says because it might as well be a made up number.

I can have my phone off the charger for two days and use it sparingly, maybe only turn the screen on for 1.5 hours the entire time and iOS will say 16 hours of usage. Then the next day my phone could be at 1% with only 10 hours off the charger and have it say 8 hours of usage. The difference? The second time I would have actually had the screen on almost the entire 8 hours.

iOS battery stats are ****ing stupid. They don't know s***. iOS has no way of telling you how long your screen has actually been on, and that is the real measurement of usage. Your phone calculates "usage" by adding up everything your phone does with the screen on and off forever always throughout an entire cycle.

"Usage" is not accurate. It never is. Never will be. Apple needs to include a screen on time if you want to know exactly how much you use your phone.

I've had my 6 Plus say 10 hours standby and 5 hours of usage with 75% battery life. You think an iPhone will actually be at only 75% after the screen being on for 5 hours? Heck no. There are other times where it says 10 hours standby and 5 hours usage and I'm at 35%. That is where the screen has actually been on.

Stop comparing your "usage" to other screenshots of "usage". Its like comparing a freaking 18-wheeler to headphones. It makes no sense.

so would you cancel the genius appointment or go in to get either peace of mind or a replacement?

I would cancel the appt. as long as you aren't agonizing over it. Your numbers look normal. The Apple store is a hellhole right now with the new phones being released. I had to go in to get Apple Care + last Friday and it was a madhouse cluster**** in there. I feel so sorry for the retail employees this time of year!

That scares me even more, I used Spotify with screen off to and from school thats like 80 minutes of usage

Bingo. This is your battery drain culprit. Steaming over cellular while commuting. Considering this, your battery is fine. Try this with an older iPhone and the battery would be much lower.

Lol..the reasons as to why this is acceptable is hilarious....Take your phone back thats not enough to be getting that horrible battery life

Correct

Finally another person who sees im not trolling and i quite possibly may have an issue

I would definitely take that phone to apple store and get it checked. I think there is a problem with your battery too.

I don't think the OP is trolling. Take it to the genius bar and they can run a diagnostic to prove whether the battery is up to capacity. If it is, then I suspect the problem is a software bug that's possibly causing the modem or SoC to not drop down to their idle states as often.

In fact, have you tried restoring the phone as new (ie no icloud backup) to test the battery life (you could still restore again later w/ the backup)? I'm 90% sure that an Apple Genius will ask you to try that first if the battery diagnostic comes back without issue.

I thought about this but if its not hardware they would never replace my phone anyway would they?

Yah, Apple has a really fast and easy replacement policy, they will definitely get you a replacement provided the battery shows weaker performance. I hope the genius bar isnt too far from your school.

day off tomorrow and a 15m drive, i'm in college so I don't mind driving if it will sort the issue

Do they offer special time frames for students?
