I can't wait to see the finished product. I wonder if this same process will work for an iPod Classic..?
I used 4 packs of RIT dye when I did mine. Do you think you will get the results that you want with only 2 packs? I also just washed my plastic pieces in hot soapy water before dying. Be prepared to leave your stove burning on high for 6 hours straight. My gas bill was higher then normal that month
LOL
oh.. so you first need to get the white paint off before spraying it another color.?
Thanks for the comments guys. Ill take a pic right before I drop in the plastic later today and tell you all how its going!![]()
I think he was saying that the only macs with clear plastic that was painted, were the iBook G3s...(and G4s?)
All others are molded white plastic.
So, soaking in alcohol, other than cleaning it, will do nothing. Why did you feel the need to do it?![]()
I knew a kid growing up that liked to take things apart, and tinker. He was pretty good at it, but screwed things up from time to time too...he also liked to fart on his hands and smell it, so I don't know as though I'd want to be in that same class of folks...![]()
Im 16, so I would qualify as a kid I guess. As for farting on my hand and smelling it... Im not that weird.![]()
Well, I remember I used to (when I was 16) and still do like taking things apart.
Besides *sniff* what's wrong with........ NVM!
I do believe it will be a work of art. I thought about sending in my MacBook to be painted.
