You're just the worst.

The worst for what? Trying before I buy? I clearly stated I WOULD buy it if I liked it. I bought the previous version because it was good.

Blame Apple for not having a 15 minute refund grace period unlike Android, which forces people to have to resort to less legit methods of trying something before they spend money on it.

It's not an update, it's been completely re-written.

I still think the upgrade is worth the price, but let's not make things up. It hasn't been completely re-written. Just a few minutes with the new app will make it clear that it based on the same codebase - most things work exactly the same way.

is there a way to adjust the font size?

I can't find one either. The font is too big. You can send in suggestions at Settings > Contact Us.

Love Tapbots but I'm a bit put off by all that white. I can see from the pictures that the top and bottom bars are slightly darker though.

It doesn't FORCE you to do anything.

You're entirely at your liberty to use an android phone, or to just not buy the app, if you're unsure about it.

And what if I buy an app and don't like it? Echofon got my money because they had a 'lite' version and I liked it. Same with Calendars 5. It's a great way to try the basic features of an app before deciding to upgrade. I wish more developers used this, I don't like pirating stuff.

I used to love Tapbots, I think I have purchased all of their apps. But many of them are now abandoned (for example, Calcbot STILL has no 4" sreen support). The same story with other apps. Ridiculous.

It may be based off the same code, but the majority of it has been re-written. Picture handling, other people's mentions/favourites/tweets, tweet details, tweet selection, account selection...etc. It's completely new.

Do you eat the food at a restaurant and only pay for that food if it meets your apparently lofty standards?

I love it. Really captures what iOS 7 is about. Focus on content but also fun animations and sounds to make the whole app feel lively.

Paid for it without hesitation purely because I've been waiting to see what they're going to do to bring it up to date for iOS 7. I'm not disappointed, the app is new and clean but there's a danger of iOS 7 apps looking identical to each other. There's few differences between TweetBot and Twitterriffic from the timeline screen. Plus they've removed all of the navigation sounds which used to be quite unique to TweetBot. Overall a good update and I don't blame them for charging for it. There's no in app purchases, how was the company meant to make money making this update free?

From my understanding they're a very small company and wanted to concentrate on their flagship app. Maybe you should offer to go work for them. :D

It seems to be using iOS7's Dynamic Type, so it will use the text size you set in your Settings app (General->Text Size)

I don't know what it is exactly, because Tweetbot uses exactly the same sized font as Messages app, but it just feels so crowded at the default setting (which I rather not change since other apps feel fine at this setting).

The app just feels crowded (I can only see 3-4 tweets at a time), especially after having used Twitterrific since iOS 7 update.

Still, I missed Tweetbot's sheer power over Twitterrific, so I welcome the update. I am looking forward to the iPad version.

Apple is actually surprisingly good at giving refunds.

Do you buy any random album before listening to it?

Any random album? Likely not. But an album from an artist I've enjoyed in the past? Many times yes. If there's an artist I've enjoyed, either live or from one album, I'll go out and buy the rest of their discography without ever hearing it. And most albums I've paid for have been $10+ each.

We're talking about a $3 app. The cost of 2.3 songs on iTunes.

You can preview apps by looking at the screenshots and reading the reviews. When it comes to actually using the app, you need to pay if the developer has made such a requirement.

Tweetbot gives you a walkthrough video of the interactions, you get a good feel for the design and way the app works. There are also numerous screenshots available. Consider it their first single off this "Tweetbot 3" album.

If you take issue with the App Store policies, take it up with Apple. Don't skirt the rules just because you disagree with the way they do things.

does it have a dark/night theme? Swipe gestures are supported? If so, I'll spring for the measly $2.99. That's a drink at Starbucks, that I usually never finish anyways. :D

do they finally have the feature of notifications when certain users tweet? this was in the official iOS app but tweetbot never added it for their app
