I know the feeling of searching for one of these and it sucks Waiting for phone to ring that it's in and nothing day after day so if I can help someone not go through that it would make my day

Today I went in there and they had 2 16GB White wifi iPads. I went back to our apartment and checked the stock levels and found the 64GB wifi in stock at Kissimmee West so got in the car, drove over and bought one. They had 3 64GB white wifis in stock after I bought mine and a couple of Verizon ones too.

FYI, Verizon iPads will not work in Europe, you need AT&T if you plan to use the 3G.

Do I need to have a gmail account to receive emails from the script posted on page 38? I dont currently have a gmail account - and would just like to use my mac account to receive the email.

I'm new to this script thing and don't quite understand it all. I do own a mac and was able to open terminal and type in python to get it running... any step by step info would be helpful because I am lost of what to do next. I am after either the Black 32 or 64GB wifi only iPad 2. TYIA.

My receipt got thrown out by accident can target look it up by credit card as I want to exchange my Verizon for an Att as my Att iPhone shows full bars compared to the 2 or 3 bars of service everywhere I go with my Verizon iPad.

Does anyone know what a "z date" may be? I was in at my local Target today and asked a Electronic team member if they were expecting any iPad 2's. He said it has a "z date" of the 6th? I sure hope this doesn't mean that they aren't expecting to get any iPad's till then... Sure seems that way. Any ex-Target employees know?

Earlier, the script poster indicated that you must have a Gmail account to use the script.

I'm surprised that these Targets are getting the iPads in. The Target that I work at hasn't had one in since the 11th. I was going to wait in line that day but the pharmacist who was going to replace me showed up two hours late. I've been bugging the electronics dept every day but nothing shows up. In fact, I don't see much showing up in the IE, Irvine or Anaheim Area. It's either that or the fact that I can't really check during the middle of the day.

Just wanted to give a huge thanks to the contributors of this thread. I got my 32gb black wifi today at the Target at Cascade Station in Portland, OR. I had a tab open in Firefox with the Reload Every add-on and set it to every 30 sec. Once I saw 'available' I was there in about 10 min and the store looked like they got about 8-10 in and 4 were left. Again big thanks!

I asked today. No restocking fee. You can return in 90 days even if it is opened. It cannot be visibly damaged in anyway though...
Thanks for the info!

Don't have your receipt?
In most instances, Target stores can verify purchases made on a credit or debit card, check or GiftCard using our Refund Look-up system. Refund Look-up is also available for Target.com purchases.
If your return was part of a gift registry, please visit our Gift Registry Return Policy.
All other returns or exchanges, including those without a receipt, will be offered manufacturers’ warranty and repair assistance at 1-800-303-0308 (if applicable).

I swear people drive around the streets near Targets just waiting to get a push notification saying one's available near by like they're some cop on patrol. I dont know how they get there so fast!

I just wanted to post a huge thank you to all who have contributed to the information available in this thread. Like many others, the python script has helped me land a 64 GB Wi-Fi model at my Target in St. Paul, Minnesota.

It amazes me what people are willing to do for the good of the Internet community, without expecting anything in return. Thank you again!

Scott

It's easy here in northern NJ... the Target stores are all 15 minutes away from each other, so you're near two or three no matter where you are at any given moment.

Has anyone confirmed this by actually returning an opened iPad? I seem to get different answers from different stores. One store even told me that opened Apple products can't be returned period.

From what I understand and heard, there's no restocking fee on iPads. Or am I wrong?

I can second that. I returned a 64 wifi ipad to Target because it has really bad light bleeding issues when watching movies. It was 5 days after I bought it and was given a full refund without a restocking fee.

You don't need a receipt for Target. Target is dope like that. They can look up your purchase via the credit card you used to purchase. Just make sure it was within 90 days.

Gotta love the bullseye.

I am having a problem with the Python script where it keeps the original zip code rather than the one I entered. It always searches Houston but I want to help my sister find one in NYC. I tried entering a fake zip code "00000" and it still searches Houston. Has anybody else had this problem?

I am modifying the zipcodes variable to be:

zipcodes = ["00000"]

And it still finds iPads in the zip code 77004 which I can't figure out unless the zip code I previously entered is cached somewhere.

It seems that trashing availability.txt in my home folder seemed to do the trick. I didn't know where the file was located previously so I didn't try deleting it. Thanks, Spotlight!
