Pathetic. Truly pathetic.

Target failed me. I was the first in line on preorder day (9/12) and was told I would receive an email on launch letting me know availability.

I still have not received an email. I called and they have no idea when they are receiving a shipment.

Garbage company. I emailed them as well.

Regardless, I'll still go here since it's a much more tolerable store than walmart.

ON WHAT BASIS EXACTLY DO YOU SAY TARGET IS MUCH MORE TOLERABLE THAN WALMART? I've shopped at Walmart many times and don't have any problems there, other than the occasional unemployable clerk. big deal, better than being on public assistance.

----------

Just got another call. I ordered a 6 64gb and a plus 64gb. They got in a 6 and a plus but in 16gb. He'll hold until end of day while I decide. Can I make it work if I use iCloud drive?

Don't compromise. That 16gig will be a brick.

you have the option to cancel your [worthless] preorder?????? Why on earth would anyone do them that courtesy?? It's not like they're calling you with supply updates. I already got my two 6+'s at the apple store on day two. I love how target says "when we get more inventory". Like the dude is under the illusion they got any at all. By the way, target's marketing strategy is to look high end while selling cheap cr*p. That is why you've only seen 16gig phones.

Got the same email response. Mine doesn't even have a name (e.g. Amy). It just reads "Target Guest Relations". Thanks for the canned response, Target.

This is in my area (Lynnwood/Everett WA). Sure, employees aren't that bad but I do get some that are so lazy and really don't care to help.

Main thing for me is the people that shop there. It attracts some really sketchy people and I don't like bringing family around that type of environment.

Reminds me of this time I was waiting to return something and this really ghetto young woman (20 maybe) was yelling at this poor customer service lady (in her 40s) because she couldn't return this cable modem (probably meant for comcast 10 years ago) because it's never been in their inventory. She was causing so much commotion but obviously she was just trying to find whatever in her house to get money from walmart. She was with her friends and they all looked like they were meth heads.

Then there's the mexicans that whistle at my wife (she's attractive sure) but she finds it disrespectful and gross making a uncomfortable shopping experience.

Anyways that's what I meant from tolerable. Obviously this will vary based on where you live.

----------

That's the spirit! They screwed ya, didn't even buy you dinner, and didn't bother to write either...

Why NOT keep shopping there!?

LOL @ people being mad but not having the intestinal fortitude to change their habits anyway... What do you think Target is going to do next year? That's right, screw a bunch of new people (maybe even you, again) and still retain them as customers anyway.

With that unwavering loyalty why not, right?

Don't get me wrong, I definitely will not preorder an iPhone ever again from there but everything from the shopping experience, customer service and prices are pretty fair to excellent in my area.

However I made sure in my email that I'm not happy with my preorder experience and will never preorder with them again though.

----------

BTW - Day 5 for me and still no email. I'm constantly checking apple.com for pickup inventory.

My wife is going with the 4.7 inch 64gb instead since she can't wait. I'm still going to wait for the plus 64gb.

Trust me, they don't care if you never pre-order another iPhone.

Still no email for my 6plus. Heck im still wating for my email for the 5s. Glad i went to get in line Friday morning at Apple Store.

Starting to think Target doesn't get anything higher than 16gb regardless of preorder. I work there and we received 10 iPhone 6's and 2 plus all of them however were 16gb. My 64gb plus has yet to come. Target gets shipments every MWF if it isn't here tomorrow I'm going to whoever gets it first, **** the discount

I pre ordered 6+ at Target and still haven't received an email but went to best buy yesterday and they started taking orders for 6+ for certain models but they said I would have it by the end of the week. definitely won't go to target to pre order anymore.

Nothing new

Sorry, all. Haven't received an email or any notification. Checking my local inventory online reveals that they have not received any units here of any flavor. Lesson learned.

This is quite odd. Every time I've gone to Target, I called in and typically they said they had what I was looking for in stock. I ask them to hold it and I'm there by the end of the day. This happened for a 6, 6 Plus and 6 again. Maybe it's because my carrier (Sprint) isn't in demand.

Been watching this tread as I pre-ordered from Target too (64 GB, AT&T) and have been very upset like others that nothing has come in. I only ordered there as I have a gift card I wanted to use but I got so peeved, I went to my local Apple Store and purchased there.

Today, I got a strange text telling me my iPhone 64 GB was in stock. I was not expecting a text -- I am 95% sure I was told I would get an email. And the strange thing was the text seems to have been to me and two other people. Both are phone numbers within my area code. I can't even track the number that sent this to me back to Target.

Ah well, doesn't matter much since I already got the phone from Apple. I hope everyone else who is still waiting on Target gets theirs quickly.

Happened to walk into my local target right as the iPhone orders came in. Mine wasn't there, but the first att phones have started arriving. Only 2 pluses came in, both on verizon. So keeping my fingers crossed.

Do you know what size the pluses were? I've heard Target is only getting in 16gb phones so I'm curious to know if they were either 64 or 128s.

Target kind of came through. These came in, nobody preordered this color. We ordered space gray. We're loving them so far! Both are 64gb.

Just to update what I posted above, now I got an email from Target saying my phone has come in -- 64 GB, Space Grey, AT&T. Ah well, already got one from Apple on Monday.

Same. Just got a call (not an e-mail) saying that my 64GB Space Grey 6 Plus is in stock at Target and I have until tomorrow night to pick it up.

Would be excited if I hadn't bought the same model 3 days ago. Still, I'm impressed/shocked.

Preorder on 9/19, still no email/phone call

I was 1st to place a preorder for a 6 plus with 64GB in gold at my local Super Target here in Florida

Still no email or calls that's it's available....

I did already purchase a 6 plus and another 6 on day (1) but this is somewhat disappointing. Giving a colleague the preorder whenever I do get contacted. Same store do have a few 6's but only in 16GB configurations
