I'm voting with my dollars here. I WILL NOT buy an iPhone without a headphone jack ( don't bother lecturing me ). And i prefer the smaller square shape and size.

So if there was an SE that shot 4k, had 128GB and still had a headphone jack, SOLD. But based one what Ive has been doing recently, i sorta feel i need to buy the current 64GB SE soon before it's gone. That's right, Apple used to be about choice, excitement and expectation for new products. Now it's flat out FEAR about what stupid thing they will do next. COUGH ( magsafe ) COUGH

And stop kidding yourself. Removal of the headphone jack is not about waterproofing. It's about driving sales for Beats wireless products, and of course the absolute most important thing to Sir Ive... THINNESS !!!

Maybe Apple keeps it around for the small form factor fans, but I'll be moving back to the SE when my 6s is finished mainly for the headphone jack. I loved my 5 Space Gray.

Nice, just 3 months after I finally got mine..
Well, I love it anyway and 64GB will be sufficient for my use for a long time :)
Best iPhone ever, the battery is amazing.

Amen!

I also am in the wired headphones camp, solely because I do not like anything requiring charging or batteries except when absolutely necessary. It is just too much to bother.

A wired headphone is always ready to use! So are all the other hardwired products

Charge the phone,
Charge the watch
Charge the headphones
Charge the MBPs

Put batteries into remotes, clocks (Some last at least a year)

But, I am always willing to try "modern" things. Just got some free plantronics wireless and of course after not using them for a few days battery is empty, i.e. has to be charged and that with a tiny specific cable.
Supposedly lasts 8 hours, but I never listen to anything for 8 hours straight. (Not even my girlfriend:)

When the plantronics die I'll go back to my $ 4.00 ALDI cabled headphones and will live with a dongle.
As ridiculous as that seems and looks, I want to listen to music etc. when I want to and not have to remember to charge something.

Not really, can you 3D Touch the status bar and pull a wifi menu or bluetooth? Nope.. something that should be included with 3D Touch. Like I said.. this is an IOS issue all around. So many so called "great, must have features" that are dropped off and never supported to their fullest.
They still added new 3D Touch features in iOS 10 like CC gestures and rich notifications. Just because they didn't add what you want doesn't mean they did nothing. 3D Touch is still limited to a few devices as well so in the future it'll make more sense to do more with it.

A lot better than something that was actually abandoned like the dynamic wallpapers.

I sure hope Apple announces newly refreshed iMacs!! :)

Looks like you will NOT be getting the new iPhone 8.

Nice. I hope Apple just does a spec bump on the SE (CPU, RAM and camera) but otherwise keeps it pretty much the same. Great form factor and Apple seems willing to sell it at a reasonable price.

Doubtful. I think memory is the only advancement, aside from a new color perhaps. Especially at this price point, I don't see any other changes until 2018, if Apple decides to upgrade the internals/externals.

Apple will unveil the new version WITH A HEADPHONE JACK and claim that having a HPJ is innovation and deny that it ever existed on any previous model. All photos that show otherwise will be deemed fake by Apple.

My girlfriend loves her SE. I find it to be a POS - but there is a market for it.

So you don't ever use noise-cancelling headphones then?

Could be a simple business decision. Target is hurting badly. Maybe Target does not have the resources to pay the stocking fees and is downsizing their electronics department. In the coming months Target will be making some very painful business decisions.

I've noticed the state of a couple Target stores (post Christmas) in my area. And, I agree, I think they are having some hard times now and down the road in the future. They are not restocking the stores as they should.

If I can sell my iPhone 6 Plus I will be upgrading to the SE. Even if its the old model I want a smaller phone again. With the 12.9" IPP I just don't need a giant phone as well.

The purpose of the iPhone SE is to reuse old technology and production lines to make it cheap. It will never be updated.
That is the exact reason it will get updated. Apple saves money by using the same parts in multi products. They can order the parts in larger bulk and get a discount. The SE is using parts from the 6S which Apple will phase out soon, so the SE will need to be updated with 7S parts(7S because that will allow Apple to not have to redesign th SE for another 2 years).

When is Apple's March event taking place?

I find it strange that a retailer would go through the trouble of returning stock without even anything new being announced yet. Seems like a waste. Must be another reason, such as very poor sales.

I personally find the SE the best phone I've ever had. Solid, perfect size, great performance. It will last me 4 years easy, if I chose to go that long without a new phone.

I just got my 6S plus replaced, but a SE with 128GB and I'm jumping ship.....

The only difficulty that I have with my SE is one-handed camera operation. I can't hold the phone well enough and press the camera button at the bottom at the same time. Just feels so awkward and unnatural. My solution with my 4s was to press the Volume button to trigger the shutter, and that worked great, but I have a hard-shell case on my SE and I can't seem to press the volume button well at all. It's too deep in the recess.

If Apple improves anything with the iOS camera, it would be to allow the shutter button to be repositioned on-screen just like the Accessibility menu can be. I want the shutter button closer to the top-right side so that I can press it easily with my thumb.

How can anyone use that small phone!!

That "small" phone is an awesome phone!

All I really need is a better camera and I'd be set. I wish they could keep it the same size but increase screen size by removing bezels. I will not go back to a phone bigger than the SE no matter what features it has.

I hear that all the time. I went from the 5 to a 6 plus, decided it was too big. Went to the 6s when that came out. Still found it to be too big. SE is a perfect fit for me. I wish they would go back to the 5c form factor. Best design they ever had. Could be used without a case with no fear of damage.

No, I like to still hear whatever else is going on around me.

Or, if I need to ruin my hearing with AC/DC I temporarily make it as loud as it can go.

I am definitely not a stereophile purist:)

A SE upgrade would be nice. However, with 2gb RAM, A9 processor, 4k camera, Touch ID, Apple Pay, iOS updates, the SE can survive for awhile. Only time will tell if they refresh the little guy.
