Updated TenFiveTube to v4. Decided to give it visible controls to avoid user confusion on how to operate it. Download attached to first post. Also used @TzunamiOSX 's larger icon.

Cheers

Updated TenFiveTube to v4. Decided to give it visible controls to avoid user confusion on how to operate it.

The "stop" button doesn't work. The little full screen window is also missing at the right corner of the video.

The stop button is to stop loading a web page, like a normal browser. Not stop a playing video. Click on the video to stop/pause it. You will need to relink against Leopard-webkit if you want to enable full window mode as mentioned on the 1st post. Not everyone needs or wants that, so I left it optional in this build. It wasn't required anymore to play music videos, which was the reason I used LWK in v3.

It will install them with going to the scripts website and clicking on the scripts link, or you can also download the script, open a TFT tab, and drag and drop the script on to the blank page to install. Image below shows drag and drop install.

Also make sure you enable web browser mode, as by default TFT only allows youtube and nothing else. Instructions to do so are in the original post.

i tried this on my mdd with 10.5.8 and tenfivetube works great. but whenever i try to play videos i get ads. any way to disable them as you would in a regular browser?
also, both the viewtube extensions in both tenfourfox and interwebppc say they are corrupted and can't be installed

We now have a few more options for Leopard, and Snow Leopard for YouTube.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IMPORTANT: Leopard users will need QuickTime 7.7 for optimal performance.

Major update to TenFiveTube!
New features in v5 include:

Adjustable user agents : iPhone / iPad / Android / Custom (iPhone is default)
Bookmark ability
Remembers the last video you watched upon launch
Supports tabbed windows (Command + T)
Ability to show/hide tool bar
GreaseMonkey-like scripting (install viewtube and viewtube+ to enable video downloading)
Get the scripts here: http://sebaro.pro/viewtube/
You can enable / disable your scripts via the script icon on the menu bar
It's also a web browser. Enable the toolbar (menu -> view -> show toolbar)
Then menu -> preferences -> advanced -> allow browsing to any URL (otherwise just browses YT by default)
Type in an address and surf :)
....and lots of other little options you can play around with
-------------------------------------
To adjust quality click on the playing video and select the gear icon
To enable full window-mode click on the playing video and click the [ ] box in lower right corner
To enable full screen, menu -> window -> toggle full screen mode

Can this run on my iMac G3 400 DV SE?

Did you grab the version specifically made for SL? Or the powerpc version? The ppc version does not work on SL. It's linked as an attachment on the first post.

Otherwise the arctic fox, interweb, firefox-legacy browsers all play YouTube fine.

Cheers

I didn’t see the link for the snow leopard users. I saw where you said click here but it just took to the other page of the forum and I didn’t see any downloads there just other users mentioning other programs they use. I did v5 and it opened until it asked to install Rosetta then it just crashes

Are there just some videos that TenFiveTube can't play? I'm loving 360P smooth youtube, it's a feat!

Trying to load a video like this, for example:

Nets me a "Your browser can't play this video" error, where other videos are working fine.

Any ideas?

Some more info: Can actually load the page for the video when using the Android user agent, but get a playback error why trying to play it. iPad agent gets "Live event playback is not supported on this client".

Yeah "live streams" recently broke after youtube made some changes. Normal videos work fine though.
The video you linked is currently a live stream.

Cheers

Yeah, it's kind of a radio station of sorts. Makes good background music while working and etc. Is the change Youtube made likely to be able to be worked around in a future release? Or just end of the road. I can probably just load it in another program if it's a no go for a future patch/release.

Use PPCMC - works fine - I tested your link, it plays at about 25% CPU with window minimised on my DLSD Powerbook.

Oh, you're right. Good suggestion! Standard settings, ffplay, paste the URL in and it plays nicely.

Thanks for the tip!

If you just want streaming music/talk radio without the overhead, i typically use shoutcast. You can save the .pls or .m3u for each station and just open them with quicktime, vlc, etc, or it'll play in a browser tab as well. Good to know ppcmc works again with live streams. Last i read it was broken not long a go.

Cheers
