Apole have just released beta 4 for 6.1 so perhaps a public release next week
Hopefully actually improves battery life. I’d like for Apple to acknowledge the lackluster battery life on the S5 and advise that 6.1 will help, but I doubt they will.i think beta 5 next week then public release on the 30th of october.
I agree. The performance of my S5 with AOD on is almost as good as my S4. The additional drain on my battery is about 0.5% per hour more than the S4. I expect that to improve once 6.1 is released. I have had every series of watch since 2015 and never had a battery issue. The only difference for my S5 is that I set it up from new.I read most of this thread with big concerns, since I bought a series 5 three days ago after passing my series 4 to my son.
So far my results are quite different from most of yours.
I left anything on but the noise app (useless for me) and tried two different conditions: AoD on and AoD off.
Taking the Watch out of charge at 6:15AM I had 43% left by 11:00PM with AoD on and 53% left with AoD off. Both cases with 60/80 minutes of mixed training indoor/outdoor.
very little to complain here.
yesterday I had the opportunity to stay with my son the whole day and we checked battery levels through the day. Series 4 and series 5 had no big differences until the late evening, when my series 5 actually did better.
On a less intensive day like yesterday (only 20 minutes of training) I had 60% left at the end of the day, around midnight. Enough for a two days usage.
i really don’t know what’s wrong with your series 5.
Curioous what is your Usage/Standby times? Also what watch face/complications are you using?I read most of this thread with big concerns, since I bought a series 5 three days ago after passing my series 4 to my son.

Watch face and complications you can see in the picture.Curioous what is your Usage/Standby times? Also what watch face/complications are you using?
I did, and nothing changed (but my Apple Watch is doing very well).Did anyone update to iOD 13.1.3? If so, did you notice an improvement? I am wondering if I should update.
Mine set up as new. No reasons to do something else since every data is on the phone imho.I agree. The performance of my S5 with AOD on is almost as good as my S4.
