It looks like you still need iTether, "To tether your iPad, iPhone, iPod, please check out iTether package by Eric day."

MyWi seems like a better albeit 10x more expensive choice to me. Plus don't need to buy multiple apps to get it to work.

I would assume they are releasing something else next week?
 
I'm curious and will follow this. MyWi is still a bit buggy for me when tethering to my laptop, but does work fine to tether idevices. Can't wait to hear what's coming in two weeks.
 
It works. I bought it and I tested it on iOS 4.0.1 Jb.

You use it like you normally would if you had purchased it through ATT.
 
I think I'll stick with MyWi since I love being able to create a mobile hotspot instead of USB tethering. Though I wonder if MuscleNerd's comment about another in the next week could be hinting at an update that also enables WiFi?

Well, you don't need both. If you are going to tether only to your iDevice, you don't need TetherMe. MyWi is an all in one solution however, albeit an expensive one.
 
Is this the exact same thing as the commcenter hack??? Just without doing the work yourself?? Seems to be IMHO.
 
i heard there's a new $2 app with wifi tether coming to cydia. this one only do bluetooth and usb.

I think you're right. I've done the commcenter hack myself and it's not really that difficult, but I'm sure it's not for everyone. Then again, if I'd had a $2 app that would've done it for me I'd probably bought it myself. Not to mention if I ever have to restore I'll have to do the commcenter hack all over again. So, if a restore comes around I'll be buying tetherme. Depending on how often you have to restore, it could save you alot of time in the future!
 
Just for the records of this thread, I just installed TetherMe and it works just fine. Enable stock tethering using Bluetooth and USB :D:D
 
Does it tether to your iPad?

Please someone let me know if u can use this to tether to your iPad from your iPhone

I have handy light for my iPhone so is this gonna be better? And what else do I need?
 
Has anyone downloaded this and had any problems tethering over Bluetooth?

Ever since I bought it I've been having that problem. It would tether over Bluetooth for like 5-10 mintues and then the phone would reboot itself and the Internet Tethering option would go away and "Set Up Internet Tethering" would show up again.

I've been emailing with the developer to see what's the problem. So far biteSMS and User Agent Faker has been messing with TetherMe for some weird reason. He's been trying to duplicate the problem but he hasn't been able to.
So I'm wondering if anyone else here has had this problem.

I haven't used tetherme but I manually did the hack and it worked the first time but after that I haven't been able to get it to work again. When tethering is on my computer doesn't recognized that the iphone plugged in and when I try bluetooth I can't get the phone and computer to pair.

Not issues here, been tethering for aout 20 mins, still going strong

if i buy TetherMe on cydia.

Will i be able to pair my iPhone 4 to my MacBook natively through the settings?

Please let me know!

Look at this thread but I think iTether goes on the iPad and you'll need native tethering turned on on the iPhone. You can do that with the commcenter hack or tether me.
