That Rose Gold.. Hmmmm

I figured I'd bump into you on this thread. I remember your obsession with pink. Do you wish you had waited to get the new rose gold sport watch? I'm planning on getting the pink iPhone but I want the regular gold sport watch to match a matte gold bracelet I just bought. I just have to figure out how to fit the watch into the budget.
I suppose I prefer the gold iPhone color to the rose gold, overall. But when I try them out on cases in online previews, the Rose gold looks better in the case colors I'm interested in. Even with a case some of the body color shows through.
Ooh, do you have a link to any of these preview-able rose gold/case combo sites? I already know that I'm getting rose gold (I adore anything and everything pink) and wanna play with different case combos (also a complete case whore).

Thing is that most of us want to get a color which is new and this year it is "Rose Gold". It is sad that the color looks alot like Pink. I showed my wife this morning and she said that the color is "Cute".
She was surprised when I told her that I am thinking about getting the "Rose Gold" color. I have always used black or grey phones and this year I am planning to get the White front iPhone 6s Plus.
From the white front iPhone 6s Plus we only have Silver, Gold or Rose Gold.
If I get the Silver model it will be like carrying the old iPhone 6 Plus.
Gold model is not available anymore for the old iPhone 6 Plus.
If carrying the Rose Gold model it will surely feel like one got the new model. It is more about bragging rights at the cost of having a feeling of carrying a girly phone.
I am afraid that if I get the Rose Gold / Pink model, the excitement of having a new phone will soon die out because sooner or later it will make me regret getting a girly color.
I could just get the black color but then I am looking for some change as I have always carried a black phone.

Apple, Spigen and Amazon has the ability to preview some case selections on the iPhone 6s. I have to get to bed now or risk not waking up in time to get everyone off to school and work. Okay I'm up. Not much sleep obviously. Spigen's site is a bit of a mess now from what it was and I see they are now promising a new color called "Metallic Pink" and their old case preview for their pre-Keynote Rose Gold case now features a silver iPhone sample for the back and rose gold for the front. Making me think they were working with a mockup before and got the color completely wrong. And now are having to backpedal and offer a new more pink hued iPhone to march what really came out.

Perhaps Apple should add a Beer Brown model next year on the iPhone 7 for everyone who thinks the Rose Gold is too girly. It would look awesome with a black front and beer is manly.
I'm not opposed to the Rose Gold. But they really should have shifted normal gold over to black front to offer 2 and 2.

I have to admit I like the look of the rose gold, but my wife will probably want it if it's offered on the iPhone 7.

I don't judge it by gender.. I would use any color with no problem.. Apart from the gender colors, I couldn't like that rose gold anyway.. I'll stick to the yellowish gold ..
But I wish Apple brought back the black iPhone color as in iP5 instead of that SG..

I may get it just as a conversation starter My dad would think it is for girls, for sure. I have always liked rose gold 18k men's watches. Never had one, but thought they looked way retro. I'll check them out in the store, as I always do with new phones.

The more I look at it I think I like this new color. But I agree with the others that it would be better if it were more copper. Not sure if I'm going on this round or waiting for the 7.
Thing is rose gold in jewelry is different because they're true rose gold. From the Apple ad, the color is definitely light pink. Under different lighting it might change a bit but it's still more pink than anything..I may get it just as a conversation starter
Sorry to the machos in this thread and no offense but. As a woman, I've always LOVED how masculine secure men who wear feminine colors are. There's nothing sexier to me than a man wearing a pink tie, or a pink button up shirt, and even a light pink suit. If you're secure of your masculinity for all I care you can wear a rainbow suit but if you're confident in yourself and self secured, there is NO color that will make you look less of a man.

Agree I don't know if it's the way the photo is taken in the promo shots but that's not really what I think of as rose gold what they showed yesterday.
I'm tossing between the gold and the rose gold...
And yes it doesn't really matter in the end cos mine will be in a case! I went nude with the iPhone 6 and dropped it within a week. NEVER again!

LOL I got the gold iphones since they were available. How can you live limiting yourself to the opinions of others? Find what feels good to you. Rock that gold!!!
Only 2 people ever commented on my gold iphone. I stood my ground. a few months later, they were rocking the gold. It just looks good.
But really though, gotta pass on the rose gold. was hoping for more of a copper look.
I haven't good internet access at the movement (vacation) so haven't seen any high resolution photos but it just looks pink to me. So it looks like ill be going with the regular gold version.
