I like this thread...

Here's my list.
1) I'm married to Mary for the past three and a half years, and I'm still nuts about her.
2) I have one kid - Andrew, who's a month old and endlessly fascinating to me.
3) I'm only half-Irish - the other half is English. Even though I'm proud of this fact, almost nobody outside my family knows that.
4) I wish I lived in Canada.
5) I once drank enough coffee in a 12 hour period to cause me to hallucinate.
6) I've been hit on by someone famous and attractive. I'm neither.
7) I suck at Scrabble, rule at Trivial Pursuit, and love both equally.
8) I'm (slowly) co-writing a book about the London Underground.
9) I have days where I feel responsible for everything. Yes, EVERYTHING. Whatever it is in the world, it's my responsibility.
10) I'm slightly red-green colourblind. In related news, I work as a designer.
11) Anything I don't understand fascinates me.
12) I want to be better at everything.
13) I'm more conservative politically and religiously than most people think.
14) I once broke a bone in my hand, but didn't know about it until I broke another years later and a bone splinter from the previous break showed up on the x-ray.
15) I feel guilty if I turn of the radio/VH-1 Classic or hit the next track button when a song everyone's supposed to love is playing.
16) I will only ever regret not trying harder.
17) I find "that's what she said" hilarious.
18) After my two best friends moved away for work, I considered advertising on Craigslist for new friends.
19) I want to learn to play hockey, or at least skate, but a two-hour commute home from work means I can't get to the rink when lessons are on.

8) I've only broken one bone, my skull, so I have sort of a scar on my forehead. It happened when I was 1 and I don't really remember it.
9) I am very confused about religion, but my family is Christian.
10) I like reading, but only things I am interested in.

13) I will never be a PC...even in the workplace I'll bring my own computer
14) I like writing with fancy pens and often have to run and get my own when someone asks me to write something down.

20) I find it funny that people think Los Angeles is the coolest place to be because living there is quite different.

1) My name is Jesus, it's not as exciting as it sounds.
2) I'm completely unsure about what I want to do as a career.
3) I'm a Senior in High School.
4) I procrastinate more than I really ever should.
5) I suffer from chronic tension headaches and I'm only 17.
6) I've never date someone even though it would be easy for me to find someone who likes me, I'm just too nervous.
7) Although I'm pretty shy, I'm extremely outgoing.

13) I have the highest grade in my AP Government class, it's my easiest class, and I still have problems with basic high school math.
14) I've met the following people in person: Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton, Ron Paul, John Edwards, Dennis Kucinich, Kal Penn, and others.
15) Nothing makes me feel better than having someone do something for me that they didn't have to. It's nice to know someone goes out of your way for you.
16) I hate it when other people look through my iPhone or iPod, I hate it when people put down other peoples taste in music.
17) I wish I could remember more people's names. Everyone at school seems to know mine, I barely know some.
18) I wish there was a Zombie apocalypse. I want to know if I could survive.
19) I want to make a dent in the universe, I still have yet to discover how.

2. I'm a junior in college.
3. I lost the closest person and one I loved the most in the world, my mom, to cancer just 6 days after my 20th birthday in October.
4. I think I am studying the wrong thing in school - business - because I love photography & graphic design even though I just got into it and I am not very good, but it is what I enjoy most.
5. I think I will own my business sometime in the near future.
6. I have only worked 2 months in my life, last summer, and I really enjoyed it.
7. I am a night owl (its 4:00am) and not a morning person at all.
8. I used to be a complete tom boy until the summer after I graduated high school.
9. I'm only 5', but I was MVP in basketball and volleyball in high school. I also played softball and badminton. Outside school I played ice-hockey and tennis.

11. I love the beach, have traveled the world, and wish I could live in LA.
12. I don't have as many friends as I could because if I don't know you well I am really shy and awkward, but I have 5 really close friends.
13. I think I am pretty funny and end up laughing at my own jokes a lot.

15. I drive a white Mercedes C300, which my mom chose for me while she was ill.

18. I'm a Mac convert - Jun '08 I bought a 20" iMac 2.66, Oct '08 I bought a Unibody MacBook 2.4, but secretly still want a Classic MBP 2.5.

1) I'm an only child. My Mom had a condition that required heavy doses of drugs while she was pregnant, and the doctors urged her to abort me. She elected not to, but chose not to have any children since.

2) I'm a lefty, but for some reason I bowl right handed.

3) I was going gray as early as high school, and began to lose my hair in my early 20s.

4) I don't like hairy spiders or weird flying insects, but have no problems with any kind of snake or rodent.

5) My parents gave me a huge amount of independence when I was young, which was really cool at the time. However now that I'm older, I'm kind of surprised that I lived through it.

6) Slate blue is my favorite color.

7) I had a girlfriend once tell me that I'm the Honda Accord of guys. It's in all the magazines' Top-10 year after year, but no woman dreams of spending the rest of her life with one. It's the worst thing anyone has ever said to me.

8) I love checking out University campuses. By now I think I've walked around every major University campus in the U.S. except those in the Dakotas, Alaska, and Hawaii.

9) I'm 1/32 African American.

10) Unlike what people might expect, I have yet to join the Mile High Club.

11) I played the Trombone up through high school, and was fairly good at it.

12) When I was really young, I had a cat named Fish.

13) I used to really love trains when I was younger, and to this day, I'll stop what I'm doing and watch when a train goes by.

14) My college degrees have absolutely nothing to do with what I do for a living.

15) My left leg is 3/4" longer than my right.

16) I love the sound of rain, and will open windows to hear it better.

17) I'm an extrovert and enjoy being around people, but I need my alone time. Sometimes I'll just get in my car and drive to someplace I've never been - simply to explore.

18) I find myself constantly trying to bring back pieces of my childhood. I play a lot of old NES and DOS games for this reason.

19) My two favorite comic strips were Calvin and Hobbes and The Far Side. When I was really young I liked Garfield.

20) I've never lived anywhere that gets regular snowfall in the Winter. I think I'd like to someday.

here's a cut down version of my facebook 25 things list (which i never posted).

1) my grandma started teaching me how to cook when I was 6

2) on my 16th birthday I got my drivers license, my first car, my first job, and got in my first wreck (in front of the place where I had just been hired)

3) when I was 16 I drove to california with a foreign exchange student because I was bored and so she could say that she had been (people were not happy)

4) I brew my own beer and sometimes wine and mead

5) when Im bored I clean

6) Im a neat freak (see above)

7) if it wasn't for bacon and bar-b-q I would be a vegetarian

8) I have a strange fascination with swedish folk music, nyckleharpas, and sacred harp singing

9) I would much rather fail on my own than ride anyones coat tails

10) I gave up everything when I was 20 and have never looked back (see above)

11) my first sophomore year of college I attempted to start a commune (see above)

13) my second time as an undergrad I worked my way through school doing computer sales, news paper courier, auto tech, chef, and tire shop manager

14) my favorite car I have owned was also the cheapest and was bought on lay-away from a lamborghini/lotus dealership (it was an old pos alfa spider veloce)

14) I've always wanted to be a farmer or an architect or a doctor or maybe an archeologist but never a lawyer which is what I am currently in school for


16) I attract craziness especially in bars

17) I've been in numerous wrecks including one roll over but have never been injured

18) I truly believe that love is all that matters in life and every thing else is simply a crappy substitute or a place holder

19) I'm nice to everyone until they give me a reason not to be and even then I judge them based on their life story and not on how they treat or feel towards me

20) I talk to homeless people, have learned a lot, and I think that you should as well.

21) my eyes are three different colors; blue, green, and brown (sectoral and central heterochromia)

i did the darn thing on facebook, ( IM SO COOL, RIGHT!?) and none of them were the same as what i had already posted on here. so here are 25 more.

1. I have a small safe that I keep random things from the past in. Some are cool, some are very random, but all have memory attached. Somethings would be very embarrassing if ever opened by anyone else but me.

2. I collect Hotel keys, and coasters. I have a lot. I plan on covering a ceiling in my future house.

3. I am not scared of dying, but terrified of losing loved ones.

4. I dont follow sports. I mainly enjoy it, only when at the actual game. I just dont understand the point in knowing all the statistics of every player.

5. My first girlfriend was in 4th grade. She asked me to kiss her on the last day of class. I chickened out. I changed schools 2 months later never to see her again.

6. I wash my hands upwards of 20 times a day. So much that my knuckles bleed.

7. I am addicted to t-shirts and wear one almost everyday of the year. They are always plain and rarely white.

8. When I moved to North Carolina, I didnt make friends because I didnt want them come to my house, in fear that they would see I had to share a bed with my sister.

9. I often think of the worst possible situations that could occur when in a waiting room, classroom, or with a bunch of people I dont know. I dont know why.

10. I am a pack rat. I cannot throw most things away, in fear that I might one day need it.

11. I cannot finish pumping gas until the dollar amount lands on an even amount.

12. I shake my legs when flying, so as not to feel any turbulence. An airplane crash is my worst fear.

13. When I was little, I would get mad at my sister and trash her room. I would flip her mattress and pull the heads of her dolls. I did all this knowing I would have to clean it all back up.

14. I had a pillow until the age of 17 that I had had since I was 2. The foam insides had completely fallen apart. It was covered with drool, it was never washed and the opening was held shut with 3 rubber bands. I miss the smell of it. (gross I know)

15. My fondest memory is playing with my sister and cousin in our attic at the florida house. It was usually 99 degrees and smelled of rat poop, but we loved it. I always wished that my dad would make it my bedroom.

16. I have a hard time making new 'good' friends. I very much enjoy the close ones I have now, and have no intention of adding more to the group. ( dont take it personal)

17. My grandmother told me when I was young that if I fell asleep with my shoes on, my feet would turn to wood. I still believe her, and I cant even take a nap with out taking my shoes off.

18. I once tried out for American Idol. They debated over me and to this day I regret not begging them to let me through. I simply said thank you and walked away.

19. I was always jealous of my friends whos parents used fabric softner on their clothes. My mother hung ours up, and thus our clothes smelled of "basement" all the time.

20. I used to run around in my underwear with a cape. I would carry all the fireplace tools and a portable am/fm radio. I was in my own world.

21. I used to clap my hands against my face when I got really excited or happy. I still do it sometimes, but to a lesser degree. ( usually with just one finger near my temple)

22. I care too much about what people think. I often will replay conversations over and over in my head.

23. teamlove. its pretty awesome. and no you cant be a member.

24. When I get nervous or have to talk in front of people, I wiggle my big toe as fast as I can. My theater teacher taught me this so I would keep my hands out of my pockets.

25. I can not stand to touch public handrails, doorknobs or sink faucets. I also always clean my shopping cart with a sanitary wipe too. its bad.
 
1) I'm from the Netherlands, am Dutch, but live in D.C. now.
2) I've lived throughout Europe for most of my life
3) I'm happy and content, if I ever think that I am not, I can just imagine that other people are going through much worse
4) I am selective of my friends, quality over quantity
5) I'm 18
6) I have an incredible fascination with beer, I enjoy it with dinner, but not to get sh*t faced. I'm fascinated by the methods, varieties, and social and historical importance of such a simple liquid.
7) I don't respect old people just because they are old, I will respect them for things that they have done though, just because you've been alive longer doesn't mean I should respect you.
8) I oppose religion, I believe in myself before anything or anyone else. I can't stand it's repression of women, self, and free thinkers.
9) I believe in science, I need clear cut answers, I can't just read a book and accept it (e.g. bible and other religious texts)
10) I think when I grow up I want to own an original Soviet AK-47, because of it's historical importance. Also a German MG-42
11) I day dream a lot, usually about WWII and what it'd be like if I was involved.
12) If I could have one material object it'd be a big 200' yacht
13) My life goals include summating the highest summit on each continent, sailing around the world in a sailboat, and going to outer space to conduct research
14) Sometimes when I hear stories about AIG and other thieving executives I am reminded of the French revolution and what it'd be like if I were to become a revolutionary leader.
15) I'm very picky about what I spend my money on, but I also realize that saving money just to have money is a big waste.
16) I want to be a formula 1 engineer when I grow up.
17) My favorite subject is math because it is clear and follows rules that can't be broken, 1+1 = 2 and nothing else. In english there are rules but as soon as an author breaks them he's a pioneering author. I can't stand that.
18) I absolutely hate Greek life at colleges, those stupid meatheads and those dumb whorish girls with the stupid UGG boots and sweat pants, platinum blonde hair, and orange skin. How are you orange in the middle of winter?!
19) When I am in America I wish I was in the Netherlands, home, but when I go back to visit friends and family in the Netherlands, I miss America, and don't like how people talk about it.
20) I enjoy driving a manual car, used to race go-karts, and like mountain biking.

30) My friends always seem to rely on me for help, no matter what the circumstances are....I take that as a compliment. :)
