1. I am 1/2 black, 1/2 Mexican
2. My kids are 1/2 Caucasion (and if I break that down it's a mixture of French, Irish and Jewish, probably others), 1/4 black, 1/4 Mexican - I call them my Heinz 57 kids
3. When I was 19 I was swept off a cliff by a huge wave and almost drowned Luckily my friend saved me - 22 years later I still consider him one of my closest friends and still teasingly call him "my hero"
4. I am addicted to "dash" games - Diner Dash, Cake Dash, etc.
5. My musical tastes remain firmly entrenched in the early to mid 80's - my dream tour: Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, The Cure
6. I am a budget analyst for local government and for the most part I really enjoy my job.
7. My father and his entire family were born and raised in Bermuda. I lived there for a year when I was two and have visted numerous time since then.
8. I have never been to Hawaii, but my husband loves it so I suppose we will get there one day
9. I have been to Tahiti which I thought was beautiful but a bit boring as I was there with 2 other girls. It seemed far more geared towards honeymooners.
10. I just started to get into wine tasting, but I'm a complete noob that definitely prefers whites over reds and I don't see that over changing.
11. Margarita on the rocks w/ salt + Carne Asada Nachos = A Perfect Meal
12. I used to be able to type 90+ WPM but computers have absolutely ruined my tying skills.
13. The biggest transition for me when getting married was my lack of alone time - 5 years later and I still struggle with it. I guess I'm really a loner at heart.
14. I moved to my current town when I was 19 and have never left - it really "fits" me
15. I have champagne tastes, but am most definitely on a beer budget
16. I don't let my beer budget stop me from buying the things that I really want.
17. I enjoy cooking, but when the kids eat nothing but cheese (sandwiches, quesadillas, pasta, etc) it's hard to get motivated to cook good stuff
18. I have been on a mac & cheese kick though - one of my favorite recipes uses Gruyere & a Sharp Australian Cheddar - yummers! Getting ready to try a new recipe that has 5 cheeses, including Fontina and Manchego - sounds equally yum.
19. I don't have a ton of friends, but the ones I do have I have been friends with for a least 20 years
20. After re-reading 1 - 19, I realize that I am just not that interesting!
