A kid at heart

Not an idea to be encouraged in the presence of electronic equipment.

Quite, also some people don't enjoy that kind of thing ;)

Damn, I was gonna bring several water back packs and some water balloons as well so we could all have some uninterrupted fun. :(

*Holds back the tears.* It's alright, don't console me, I understand if you lot don't want to play with me. *Sniff, sniff.*

Guess I'll just have to play with myself now ... ;)

So who drinks Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum then? I have three litres that I've bought from Duty Free... I need to get rid of most of it, because my Mum thinks I'm an alcoholic.

Mine's quite long and hard but I'm strong enough to hold it up and squirt everyone with it quite easily. I want everyone to be extremely wet by the time I've finished.

So, basically what I'm asking is, can I bring my *water pistol* with me or not to the picnic? :D

I've always dreamt of thoroughly soaking my fellow MacRumors members with my Super Soaker ...

Haha would be fun :p

Some of us people who aren't allowed to get drunk *humph* will need some entertainment ;)

As long as it's controlled, of course :p

Wouldn't want to accidentally spray someone's Macbook Pro! I don't think Apple Care would cover water damage... even if it was soaked at a Mac User Gathering!

Do they start to melt after water touches them? Gremlin style?
No but the witch within might come out to slap the hell out of the unwise soul who decided to drench us. :D

Or just meet the water pistol wielding sportsman with a bucket of ice water in return. You never know.

I'll probably go down after work. I'll drive by and see if anyone's there or if you're all sitting on your tod talking about the weather.
Oh and to the member who's 16 6 days after - do you look old enough? You should've kept your mouth shut and ordered a fake ID or something  Not fair to leave someone out. Oh and I'll be more than happy to take the trips to Threshers :D

You should've kept your mouth shut

True.

and ordered a fake ID or something

As you'd need a fake driving licence or passport that is probably difficult to get (unless you are in Bangkok), and pretty illegal.

There is a £1000 fine if you get caught buying alcohol for underage people or buy it yourself underage. This has meant I've been id'd more in the last year than when I was under 18.

Really? and although you have some good points, if he looks 18-ish and said he was 18 or implied he was 18 or of a legal age then it's my word against his. ;) Not that i'm going to set him up or anything..
EDIT: And to my knowledge, if the young man decided to purchase alcohol or cigarettes (btw - anyone else smoke?) then it's the shop licensee who gets the fine. The chap merely gets a slap on the wrist and a letter home.

I'd imagine at a 'macrumors' gathering, alcohol would be the least of whats required to have fun..

If the forums are anything to go by, it'll be full of people sighing and saying 'oh do i wait for the next macbook rev, or buy one now'

etcetcetc

Hahaha. You'll get someone sneak up and ask iBlue: "heyy wens the nxt mac out plsssss?" then a *thwack*.
:D

EDIT: iBlue will pull this out of her hamper, and pull a manly face..

If the last few gatherings are anything to go by then Apple products very rarely get mentioned, and then only really in passing.

I think I will try to come along for a bit. Couldn't make it last year. Going to Turkey the next day but should be fine, only 35 mins on the train home. Coolies then :)
