No surprises.

I'm sure Snow will finally see the light that he should trade the pick to bring back Jason Blake and sign him to a 10 year deal.

^I hate you :p

If Snowjob does anything that stupid, I'm done with them. Good thing I have a real team to watch. Go Caps! :D

Sorry dude. I don't have much to pick on.
I'm sure he'll make the right decision.:rolleyes:

I hope the Caps make it far into the playoffs. Ovechkin is so damn exciting to watch. I too have reservations about Theodore's abilities though.

Canucks/Blues series should be a great one. I guess it's nice to see Sundin's risk pay off. I hope he can step up like everyone expects him to.

As much as I love Marty, I'd love to see the Hurricanes make it deep into the playoffs. Paul Maurice should win the Jack Adams (coach of the year). He has done amazing things in Carolina. He has shown everyone that he's an elite NHL coach IMO. As I said before, the state of the Leafs prior to his firing was not his fault.

The West is just way stronger than the East, and unless an Eastern team goes on a crazy hot streak when they reach the finals, the West should run away with the Cup again.

You know I was kidding right?

Right decision... lol.

Anyways, I just want to see the Caps absolutely take apart the Rags. But Theodore is the biggest question mark.

You're right about the Devils/Whalers Canes series. I do want to see Marty win another Cup though.

I think the Blues might be able to eek it out.

I think the East is deeper. The West has 2 strong teams. That's just me though.

Of course I know you were kidding, you freakin' jerk. :D

So the Flyers vs Pens game is on Versus right now, and then they're showing the Blues vs. Canucks. Dammit, why do I have to have class tonight? At least I'll get to watch a little bit of the Flyers/Pens game. Looks a little nasty so far.....

Wow, The Caps are destroying the Rangers in the shots department 14 to 4. Ovechkin is hitting and shooting and deking...... wow. He's awesome.

The West has more than 2 strong teams- I'd say there are 4 elite-level teams in the West (Detroit, San Jose, Vancouver, Calgary) versus only 1 in the East (Boston).

I just don't see it happening for them this year. The Habs are lucky that they made the post-season in spite of their mediocre goaltending and decimated defense. Chara is going to destroy them.

I think Bruins in 5....... but I'll be nice and say 6.

P.S. Do what you want, but the font you used is just awful to read.

A girl can dream. And Price has done moderately better the last couple of games.. We shall see.

Upset! Upset! Upset! Upset! Upset! Upset! Upset! Upset! Upset! Upset! Upset! Upset! </cheering>

:D

Took a while for the Rangers to get on their feet against the explosive Washington offense, but they looked pretty solid once they were there. A game one win on the road....so exciting, can't wait to get the caps back to MSG. :D

word... you going to any of the games?
The officiating was terrible and to think we have them for the rest of the series.
I guess golf season might have to wait a few more weeks. Which is good and bad b/c my new clubs finally came in but 'tis the season for the best hockey, :p

2-0 series lead for the Rangers! Yikes! Didn't expect that at all.

I don't know if the Caps can come back from this whole unless they sweep both games at MSG.....

Capitals are not playig their game.
O is no where near the net. Greene is pinching too much. It seems the caps are unsure of who is open and are waiting that extra little bit before making the pass. The caps have to get in position for the rebounds. Too often they were too out by the hash marks.

angers arejust grinding away chipping at the opportunities.

I'm thinking it's going to be a pretty intense game tonight between the Habs and Bruins. Last game set the precedent.

Yeah this is really shaping up to be an awesome series... every game keeps getting more intense. I dont think we'll see many fights tonight, they will probably come later on in the series.

Yep the B's and the C's will be the series to watch.

The C's have to focus after all its who scores the most goals and not which team has the most penalties.
I have a strong feeling they will be going after Thomas. that will be cheap but a desperate team will do anything

What a show today from King Henrik. i wish the rangers would have scored at least another goal so my heart could actually still keep beating but all is good they won. Now they are going to come home to an insane crowd at MSG. Can't wait till monday :D

Going home this time of year could be bad. If the Caps get on the board first and take the crowd out of the game the home ice advantage my be nullified

I hope that habs keep playing that way, because its not their style.
If they keep playing that way itjust might be a 4 game series

NHL: Lucic suspended for 1 game
Posted by Gary Dzen, Boston.com Staff April 19, 2009 07:35 PM

Milan Lucic has been suspended for one game for the match penalty he received in a 5-1 win against the Montreal Canadiens Saturday night, NHL.com is reporting. Lucic will miss Game 3 against the Canadiens Monday at Bell Centre.

Lucic received the penalty Saturday after he checked Maxim Lapierre in the head with his stick in front of Canadiens goalie Jaroslav Halak with 4:32 remaining in Game 2.

Good. If it were the regular season, it would be two or three. WTF is the matter with him cross-checking someone in the neck/head?

No Sundin for the 'Nucks tonight- a "lower-body injury". He really hasn't had as big of an impact on the team as I expected him to, so I'm wondering how much this matters to the Canucks. Only 9 goals, 19 assists, -5 in 41 games this season.

Looks like the Flyers/Pens game was pretty awesome. Sadly, I was at the beach all day so I couldn't watch it.

Well, you got your answer :D

I'm not sure which is more surprising: Burrows as the replacement for Naslund's scoring, or Kyle Wellwood as a shutdown third line centre.

Vigneault is either a genius or insane...

I've actually been enjoying reading the "analysis" of the Canucks prospects going into the playoffs. It's like the reporters just took their notes from two years ago and reprinted them without noticing it was a different team.

Somebody should mention to those EST based writers that their job involves staying up late enough to actually watch the teams they are supposed to be writing about.
