Interesting predictions - though I must say I just can't see a final without one of either Brazil or Argentina. Both look very comfortable if not totally dominant, and I feel like Germany, England and Spain are all a bit tentative.

I agree that either brazil or Argentina shall be in the final:rolleyes:

The brazilinas are dominant, and argentina dissects perfect.

Spain looks like they are nearly getting comfortable...

Again, the consequences of beating Algeria and topping Group C on goals scored still astound me. They have the easiest path to the semis of any team among the 16.

I'm guessing that was the path England would have much preferred to have taken instead of now having to face Germany then Argentina and then Spain/Portugal one after the other.

And *then* face Brazil or Holland in the Final. That would have to be the toughest 4 game fixture list imaginable.

one has to wonder if the germany free time entertainment of visiting/petting lions somehow was planned as a psychological poke at the english squad...

the british tabloids sure did what they can do best and jump on the topic ... and thus put pressure on the english squad...

on the german side though schweinsteiger and baoteng are slightly injured and could perhaps not make the game, and as i read just a few minutes ago cacau is out for the fixture.. which already gives the german media enough things to worry and complain about...

all in all the usual stuff

Just 8 minutes into the very first game and my predictions list is already looking shot. Total fluff by the Korean keeper.

Geez, it took Korea long enough to equalize. It's been practically all Kim-Park-Ji-Sung-Soo-Hyung-Lee-Seung-Young from the commentator the whole game. Finally *now* Uruguay are playing instead of just sitting back holdng onto their lead. And what do they do, they take the lead again within minutes. Why were they playing so negatively when they don't have to?

Oop, spoke too soon. They've gone back into their 1-0 to the Arsenal mode and it's all Korea again now. I hope they pay the price for these tactics. I can't understand it, it's not like they're playing Brazil or Spain.

i wonder why the US came out half asleep on the pitch.. seriously that was their worst half of the whole world cup so far

the left defensive side of the US is more or less catastrophic
the central defenders pulling demichelis stunts every few minutes
some really bad possession losses in the US midfield
thus strikers hanging in the air more or less

also the whole team seems really nervous

ghana is playing jsut like in the first 3 games: solid defense and midfield work but can't get the last pass to the striker

On a hopeful note for the USA, they can't play any worse and Ghana can't play any better, so the USA to come good. Like against Slovenia, they don't look out of it despite being down. :)

Two more hopeful signs - About midway through the first half Ghana reverted to taking wild long range shots for African glory, and statistically the USA were only 1-0 down at half time as nobody has ever won a WC game coming from 2-0 down.

Gah! Bradley should have looked up before shooting straight at the keeper. This must be a tense game for US supporters!

Edit - and Altidore should stop trying to win a penalty and stay on his feet. He almost got it in the goal while falling over. He should have scored there. What a classic that would have been.
