Not a classic final, but at least I got my ironing done. That's how excited I was whist watching it...!

we have seen diving and acting from every team n this world cup, and the italians didn't do it more or less than everyone else, including australians.
a couple of egregious examples in this very game (xavi and iniesta)

first, it was a penalty,
second italy completely deserved to win that game,
third, it was more than 4 years go.

Anyway, that's just the game I can specifically use as an example from memory. All the dozens of others I'd have to look up for specifics. Stop trying to psychoanalyse or profile me, you're not very good at it. In fact, you're atrocious.

PS. I am fully vindicated. Maybe I should have said Spanish instead of Italian. Iniesta took the tumble like being shot from a hand on the shoulder. Took two full steps of not being touched at all before he started falling. Spain have won now, just like Italy always do.

Message to all young players - dive. Robben should have dived and had Puyol sent off just as Iniesta did. Why? Because you win. As Spain will know for the next four years as world champions.

On that foul note of serious public accusations by Don't Panic, the World Cup is now over. It's been fun (until the last ten minutes).

To be honest, I find the notion of them tipping up with pre-starred shirts a little presumptuous and arrogant. But maybe that's just me.

If memory serves, wasn't it reckoned that France did the same in 2006 and turned up to the final with a set of shirts with a second star added, to wear as they received the trophy?

Iniesta just bested his Champions League winner at Stamford Bridge.

And Jaffa, they have done that sort of thing in the US since at least the late 70s. Every team at the end of every Super Bowl has pre-printed shirts and hats proclaiming their World Champion-ness. Makes you wonder how they dispose of the "Champion" merch for the losing team?
 
Bad game spoiled in the most part by the Dutch kicking everyone all game. The ref had a good game under extreme pressure.

Well done Spain, you deserved it

Well you can see his arm resting on his shoulder quite clearly in the first picture you've posted so can't quite see what your getting at?

Disappointed by the Dutch, expected more from them.

Well in the 2010 super bowl, the loser jerseys went to third world nations in Africa.....;)

in other news, congratulation to Forlan, voted best player of the tournament.

overall not the best WC technically, but i think the best team won at the end (though my personal favs in term of play have been germany, chile, mexico and uruguay).
too much diving and acting like usual (here i agree with awmazz, that iniesta dived there) and some egregious ref mistakes (but not too many, really, just very blatant ones).

can't wait for 2014, with brazil prohibitive favorites but should be fun.
and the torcida instead of the vuvuzelas. yeah!



p.s. how long do octupusses live?
