Pish and posh, my boys are playing a real competitive match tonight! Columbus face off against Colorado, and this match is being broadcast on Fox Soccer Channel, so I get to actually watch Columbus play for the first time in months.

How do you think the punters react if/when Jimmy takes to the pitch at the KC Jaffa?
 
Strictly speaking, are we embroiled in a relegation scrap then? :D

Of course, Scholes would go and score a real scorcher in his testimonial match. A vintage blast from outside the box, beating Brad Friedel at his near post. Amazing.

I went out for dinner so I only made it to the 70th minute or so - I missed the second goal. Losing Gaven to injury within 5 minutes was a blow, but the Crew still played fairly well and should have gotten at least a draw out of that game. Mendoza's poor finishing cost us the points, he had two golden chances that he failed to convert. His strike partner, Heinemann, was pretty anonymous as well. We were overrun in the midfield for several stretches. Also, we should have had a penalty that wasn't given.

Bad luck and bad finishing cost us the points.

yeah. i did a lot of shouting at mendoza but i don't think he heard me. =(

Heinemann might need a shave... and a bit of grit.

First-half; Manchester City v Arsenal :confused: - better passing and possession, poor defending at set piece, and Spanish keeper makes mistake.

Nani's first goal and age of the team:D

That was a real clunker by De Gea on the second goal. So much so that I've dropped him from my fantasy team.

Something shiny for the team photo next season - the Photoshop order has been cancelled.

pivo6 - and Smalling starting instead of Rafael against tall teams.

Plenty of transfer activity Jaffa, and the Internationals injuries still to come.

So, remember a couple of seasons ago when Chelsea had an away jersey that was blue (the same color as their home jersey)? Well, this season it's Wigan's turn.

The image shows Wigan's away and 3rd jerseys, and contrary to what you'd think, it is the blue one that is the away jersey and the white one that is the 3rd jersey.

Both, however, are very nice looking. I'd say that Wigan's 3 jerseys this year are easily their best for some time.

It was probably a good thing that happened and was got out of the way (it wasn't the easiest shot to stop by the way) I was quite impressed, he was controlling the area and his distribution looks top class,he also made a reaction save (unnecessarily as it happened) that was excellent.
