I can't see Chelsea getting through to the next round now after the result last night. Although the scoreline is in reach for Chelsea going into the home leg, I can't see them holding Napoli out for 90 minutes, especially if their defence peforms like they did last night.

As a neutral, I really enjoyed the game last night, really open and you had the feeling either team would score everytime they went forward.

The last English hope in the CL (Chelski) is already playing itself out of the competition.

On another note. Cavani looks a player. Is it a pipe dream to want him in an Arsenal shirt?...yeah i thought so too.

*sigh*

would love to see Cavani or Lavezzi in a Liverpool shirt, can't see it happening anytime soon though!

well Cahil laws obviously out of his league, especially in positioning ... Ivanovic on the other side simply was badly matched against the very agile, short napoli attackers/midfielders,
Also Mereiles was hugely overworked in the midfield

also let's not forget that the biggest and most catastrophic defensive blunder was actually made on the _other_ side which lead to the chelsea goal .. that sure was a laugh

IMHO is a typical side that if you are behind one goal it get's extremely difficult

but now looking forward to todays game : Basel Vs. Bayern .. after kicking out Manchester Basel is super self confident and the game vs Munich is obviously the game of the year, gonna be interesting if Bayern can keep the try energetic swiss out of their penalty area
an interesting point will be how the swiss Xherdan Shaqiri will play against the club to which he will transfer for a 15+ mio € fee in the summer ;)

I think Liverpool should buy a striker in the summer (although a holding midfielder as backup for Lucas should be top priority). Those two are probably too pricey though...

Do you know something? I don't actually mind it. I would have liked to have seen the crest in the proper colours rather than the 'tonal' look, but there we go. You should all know by now that I'm a bastard for a buttoned collar. :D

It's better than the current shirt I think, but still not a patch on the one before that which was perfect in my opinion.

There's been a bit of internet chatter about the shorts, and concern that they'd be red - fortunately though they're white, paired with white socks. Phew!

Anyway, if we're talking proper kit porn here are the new South Korea polyester rags…

By the Gods, 'tis a thing of great, great beauty.

agree, I'd also like to see another attacking midfielder or winger added to the squad, though all depends on any departures in the summer. I can think of a few players who could be told they can leave if offers come in.

If you ever visit these parts be careful, don't go about telling people that you love the sash.
Heh – rest assured that I just like my sashes on football shirts and beauty pagent contestants. :D

I was a bit surprised with the choice of black.
Hmm. Maybe it's perhaps intended to allow the team to mix and match elements of the home and away kits to avoid clashes with shorts and socks?

In other news, it seems that my club couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery as yet another out of work manager turns us down.
The options are dwindling. You know it's going to happen.

I'll be there straight away, Mr Morgan!

I agree, and you certainly are a bastard for a sash. I wish USA would stick with a version of the 1950 sash kit. That was the best. Now we have "Where's Waldo".

Keep an eye out for flying flat caps OllyW! :D

And they will use their look to invoke the spirits of the 1980s Liverpool teams.

Big hair, facial hair and short shorts are highly underrated these days. I want to see more guys going for a Socrates/Kevin Keegan/Graeme Souness look.

Keegan in his pomp = much more attractive than greasy Ronaldo.

Shocking performance; diving, mistimed tackles, a rate of work that didn't register....Nani not taken off:eek: Can only be they didn't think he was on the pitch.
