is it bad karma to say i want to be in person for one of these marathons just to say i was-win or lose?
Maybe the Preds shouldn't dress Radulov and Kotsyin again...the players didnt look to bothered by it coming into the rink and the team responded.
Ha! Probably. The Devils won last night. I really don't like the Flyers, so that was good. All of my equipment arrived today, so I'll be hitting the ice for hockey lessons soon

The refs blew another call last night late in the game. Kovalchuk was given a delay of game penalty for shooting the puck over the glass in the defensive zone. Except- it went out off of the shaft of a Flyers player's stick. Fortunately, the Devils killed it off.
Radulov and Kostisyn are going to be healthy scratches again tonight. The Preds have decided to go with the group that won last game. It looks like those two dumbasses might stay in the pressbox until the Preds lose a game.

I applad Trotz for doing it. I can actually see neither one playing again this year if Nashville plays the same type of game again tonight.
Well, barring a Nashville miracle (because we all know St. Louis is toast), we're looking at a Phoenix-Los Angeles Western Conference Final. Oh my. Just awful from a TV/NHL marketing standpoint, but sounds juicy to me. At least I live in the Central timezone, so at latest the games would start at 9pm. Poor Eastern Timezone folks.
And how about Jersey the past two games? From my random readings, heard two things that stand out a bit: Did Philly use up (mostly) everything in round 1 (minus Briere, who is a playoff beast)? Or is Philly being overly cautious due to shaky (although significantly better in round 2) goaltending/defense?
Regardless of your views, Philly needs to stop being so awful on the PP if they're going to have a chance vs. NJ.

There was a lot of talk that Lombardi was going to be canned at the end of this season. But it looks like his coaching change and major player changes worked out quite well. And Quick is just awesome.

2 for 2! I actually didn't watch the first 2 periods, but seriously Philly? Had 12 shots I think after 2 periods? Shocking that they had 2 goals with that. 43-21 shots total? Can't win with that.
The LA story is pretty incredible and so has their play been this postseason. With the middling NYR play, Jersey not being too threatening (imo) as a Cup contender, they look to be the clear Cup contender now if they can get past Phoenix (I still think Nash will win at least 1 more game, but not the series).

I think right now the only thing working against the kings is that they could have to wait nearly a week to play again.
But with a workhorse coach in sutter, they will be ready to go.

I've been watching the Kings when I can and they look good. Kind of reminds me of what the Bruins looked like last year (probably reminds the Bruins, too, as they watch from the couch).
Quick has been great, they are physical knocking everyone off the puck, getting contributions from a lot of different players, and putting in enough goals to win the game each night. Sounds like a winning formula.
This style works and I like watching it. Though it was painful to watch the Blues yesterday -- they were a disaster.
All true. I love how NBC kept saying it was "the best period of hockey played by STL all series" after the 1st... when they had 4 shots (although 1 goal). It was brutal. Gotta love NBC too.
I laughed after I heard that. It's just shows how stifling LA's defense has been. They kill just about every penalty and Quick scoops up everything around the net.
Stupid move by Giroux, and it's cost him a game. I actually agree with Shanahan's analysis in the video.

never thought the devils would be going to the eastern finals...
I thought it would come down to Pens, Bs, Flyers. I hope the rangers pull through tomorrow so they don't have to face a game 7.
