More movement in Europe.

Marco van Ginkel moves to Chelsea from Vitesse. This move is not unexpected. He is one of the new rising stars in Dutch football. He is only 20 years old so he still has a lot to learn, but at 8 million Euro he was a bargin.

So Liverpool have officially launched their new 3rd kit. The weirdest thing I noticed was that it has odd socks. How likely is it that players will wear them the wrong way around?

It's such a horrible kit...I don't even want to think about it.

Just wait though. In 50 years it will be every Liverpool shirt collector's holy grail. "Egad, look - a 2013-2014 Liverpool third kit - the one that got the owners run out of town!!"

Yup, harlequin is spot on jaffa. How much is one on the island btw? Here, it's about €90 with a name on the back. Not too much for a holy grail...

Meanwhile, I can't wait any longer! So pumped for Hertha!!

If you were to go via the club shop, a shirt plus printing and those little Premier League armpatches would set you back £65. You'll be able to pick one up cheaper from other retailers though, one would imagine.

I expect they'll still have a load left to sell in the end of season sale as well. Heh.

If they have made any more than ten of them I think it will be too many.

Holy grail Batman! Imagine you'd order ten of those lacklusters...:D

....and Liverpool wins the league.

And about those L/R socks: I still fail to do it the right way.

If Liverpool win the League next season, I'll buy a shirt with 'Jaffa' on the back and pose for a picture. I'll even wear a pair of those socks. :D

My shinpads have an 'L' and an 'R' on them so you get them on the correct legs. Unfortunately, they also have a label showing the size on the right shinpad and when I see the 'L' for large I strap it to my left leg.

It fools me every time, that.

Meanwhile, a crazy idea from Nike who have announced a limited edition of some of their most popular boots. They all share a bizarre new colourway that the Portland-based apparel peddlers reckon will be a big hit - black.

It'll never catch on, Nike.

Anelka - agreed, seems like their shirts stink abnormally.

And since you folks introduced me to those two crackers (so don't blame it on me), guess who I found surfing some Nintendo site:

Forgot to chime in Wednesday that the Fire have not lost in 9 straight games when they beat San Jose 3-2. Dilly Duka seems to be showing promise for once and Mike McGee continues to spark the offense, when he's not scoring he is setting up goal scoring plays. I'm starting to feel better about this season. Although I still despise the ownership.

Robbie Keane preformed a perfect dive to cheat the Crew out of a draw. Horrible call, horrible game, horrible season. :(

It's especially painful to watch Chicago fans actually praising Dilly Duka avter all the hate they threw at him earlier this season (I'm not including you on that, 2020mike ;)). Duka was not exactly loved in Columbus, but there was a lot of unwarranted prejudice against him among Chicago fans - until he began to perform. Football fans are about as capricious as they come.

I've seen people pick up dead rodents with greater enthusiasm.

He really is phoning it in these days. Someone needs to make a photo collage of every one of his shirt-holding signing photos.

Ill admit I wasn't thrilled at all with the trade or the first couple of games I saw him play but he seems to be rebounding. Maybe it's the coaching bringing out that potential. The Rogers to LA for McGee trade has completely washed away the sour taste in a lot of fans mouths after feeling like we got screwed on the trade when Rogers refused to suit up for anyone but LA.

I don't blame Rogers, LA is closer to home and he's at a stage in his career where he has a little bargaining power. Likewise, I was disappointed when Brian McBride decided to finish his career in Chicago rather than Columbus, but I understood his reasons.
