They should, but they don't. It's tough being a bengals fan in NE, seeing all the bias and overconfidence. :p They've been a team you definitely have to respect, but they look like an 8-8 team to me this year.

Thanks for AJ Green by the way (Georgia). :)

Down here we're calling the Bengals UGA North these days. Between AJ, Geno, Geathers, Boling, Roland and Orson you guys have a pretty good group of our former players.

Am I the only one who thinks the NFL should just eliminate the preseason? Or play like one game.

I don't see the point in having a bunch of games in which nobody scrubs who are going to be cut play almost the entire game and the players who will actually be on the team play less than 5 minutes.

No other leagues do preseason like that. I've been to NHL preseason games and the players still fight and it's played just like it's a regular season game. Nobody plays the first 5 minutes then goes to sit and watch.

Same thing in baseball spring training.. other than pitchers, most of the regulars play at least half the game.

If they don't want to give up the revenue, they should just make the season longer and get rid of the preseason. But it's just lame to hear all the media pumping up "FOOTBALL IS BACK!" when the guys who are actually going to play come the regular season are barely even stepping on the field.

Prison warden Goodell wanted an 18 game schedule but was shot down.

At least the stupid tuck rule is gone.

I would disagree. It may suck for the fans, but look at it from the backups point of view. They get a chance to show everyone what they can do and maybe get a chance at some play time in the regular season. Like my man Sazenbacher last night with 2 TDs against the Falcons. I'd be surprised if he doesn't get some playing time this year. Maybe a much needed explosive punt returner for the Bengals.

he did a good job last night... only thing i could figure was he was trying to run out of that ugly ass bengals uniform...

:D Hating on my team's unis I see. I do kinda hate the white ones though. The orange alt. ones are easily the best of theirs.

The Broncos managed to win in spite of not scoring an offensive TD. The defense was pretty sharp with 4 turnovers. Only real surprise was Anderson at RB. Had almost 70 yards in the second half.

there is nothing to like about anything they play in.

love to see them go back to the helmet with "BENGALS" written on it. and those unis.

good luck though, i think you guys have a pretty decent team.

After watching last night's Jets pre-season game against the Lions I feel like the third string QB is better than both Sanchez and Geno. Mcleroy was moving the offense well and he looks like a much better passer than Sanchez. Didn't get to see much of Geno Smith due to his injury. But with all the hoopla about the 2-way QB competition I think the unmentioned guy is worth a closer look.

Mcelroy is not an NFL QB, period. Perhaps you've forgotten when he started a game last year. He was sacked 11 times. 11 times. It was a disaster. He looks great against 3rd string players and rookies but put him in front of NFL players and he's awful.

Sadly, I don't think the Jets have their 2014-15 starting QB on their roster.

Have to agree with you here. I think the Jets finish 3rd or 4th in their division.

I'm not sure they can even beat out the bills for the 3rd spot sadly. How did this team go from back to back AFC Championships to being borderline mediocre?
They only got to the AFC Championship out of luck.

Luck how? First year: beat bengals, chargers, then lost to colts.
Second year: beat colts, patriots, lost to steelers.

Like them or not, you have to admit they had some pretty decent teams a few years ago.

and how did they get to the playoffs. Beat a Colt team that rested all of their starters.

Very true. Very true. You still have to give a team credit for getting to the AFC Championship back to back years though. Now if the 2 teams they beat each had 5 of their stars injured and they beat them to get to the championship game, well that would definitely be luck.

i still can't figure out how they got to play for back to back championships...

oops! my bad...

Man it feels weird seeing all these players change jerseys and what is up with those fugly Jaguars and Dolphins unis
? thought I was a watching a throwback game from the XFL.

Also really loving Deandre Hopkins' hands. That was one helluva td grab he had against the Vikings.

They didn't, they lost both times. :D:p

One of those years, they did beat the Pats in the Playoffs. I fear that as a Jets fan who wasn't alive in 1969, that may have been the closest thing to a Super Bowl win I'll get. :(

And when Sanchez is sitting in a bar 20 years from now drinking away the memory of a crappy career, he'll always be able to tell the bartender he outplayed Tom Brady. Once.

That Hopkins catch was bad ass. He's come into camp with a lot of expectations and he seems to have met every one so far. Hopefully he continues to progress in camp and into the season. It'll be nice for the offense to have a real #2. And hopefully having another decent option at WR will finally make Kubiak take a few chances.
