Where is Mac Nut? I guess the Cowboys beating the Giants in the opener, wasn't just a fluke huh... I guess all the other teams shouldn't have beat them either. Ha... Well lets see how they turn this around shall we.

The Giants totally suck this year. So does the entire NFC East so far.

Houston should have won that game. Unfortunately being dominant for 3 quarters doesn't' cut it against good teams. If I were Seattle, I'd do whatever it takes to get home field advantage. They're a different team on the road.

Houston was dominant the first half. Seattle shut down the Texans in the second half. They were scoreless in the second half.

My Texans were one errant throw away from putting that game away. Annoying. Seattle is beatable, but it isn't easy.

The sad thing is that they could easily turn it around because the NFC east is so putrid.... They are only 2 games back on the cowboys and still have a ton of division games left.

One of the Giants players, can't remember whom, just said he thinks they can "run the table" on the rest of the season :D If they can get to 7-9 they'll have a shot at winning the division.

Maybe I'm more critical of them than I should be, but there were 3 or 4 things that they did that gave the game away (and that's not even counting the Schaub interception). That fumble by Tate put 3 points on the board for Seattle. The first 3 points the Hawks scored were off of a pass interference call which put them in field goal range. That bad penalty in OT that put the Seahawks in field goal range didn't help either. And i'm not sure if it was the 2nd Quarter or the 3rd, but the Texans were driving and Arian Foster dropped a pass that would have been a sure 1st down.

I'm not putting the Seahawks down, because obviously they're a really good team, but Houston really gave that game away. When Houston learns to finish, they'll be a scary team. But a mixture of crappy play calling, bad penalties, and stupid decisions by the QB will help you lose every time.

This guy dropping the ball..

That dude fumbled....

Penalties .....

QB should have done this or not done that..

These are all signs of a good defense..Which really helps a team win.

But in any case..Seattle won. Houston lost.

Just another game to chalk up in the NFL.

:)

This

Good teams know how to minimize mistakes and capitalize on their opponents mistakes and the Seahawks did just that. I think it all starts with Kubiak, this first 15 scripted play bs has got to go. HE needs to entrust his QB to make proper reads and adjustments but the problem I'm seeing is that once Schaub gets pressured he becomes the worse kind of QB ever - The deer in headlights QB. he has almost zero mobility and his decision making is horrendous. I'm all for sitting Schaub, let's see what we have in either Keenum or Yates because we're never going to win with Schaub at the helm.

Better yet, just let JJ Watt have 15 mins alone with Schaub in a dark closet :D

Tampa bay Buccaneers fan here. I just want it to be known that we will bounce back and win the NFC South! Go Bucs!!! ;)

Not as long as you have that moron Schiano running the team. Everybody hates him including his own players. That team will be in shambles until he gets fired.... I bet as soon as he gets fired they go on a nice run.

Agreed!

It just sucks losing the way we do. We should be 3-1. It is what it is. I'll stick with the Buccaneers no matter what!

hhhmmmp.

i'm looking for all the posts were folks were saying that the Patriots were gonna suck this season... i don't really have time to find them now...

it is early in the season i know, but how is that working out for ya...?

:p

the dolphins good start is a pleasant, if not short lived, surprise.

raiders = commitment to less than mediocrity ...

They're probably near the posts where folks were saying that Danny Amendola wasn't injury prone. ;)

All joking aside, I can't imagine anyone would seriously think they were going to suck this season. They've done a great job of getting through the injuries and winning games where they weren't at the top of their game. It's just what they do.

The Bucs have released Josh Freeman and the Pats have signed Austin Collie. I think the Freeman thing is sad and has been handled poorly on both sides. I hope he gets a chance with another team so that he can continue his NFL career. As for Collie and the Pats, we'll just have to see how this works out. It's another example of how the Pats are willing to take chances that other teams are not. Hopefully Collie is fully healthy and won't get hurt more than he already has.

Tiny bit worrisome to me that he's even still playing in the NFL. Not sure I'd risk my noggin, but here's hoping he can avoid anymore head injuries. Dobson and Thompkins are a bit banged up, so the beat goes on with the Patriots injured offense.

In ff would u start Rodgers against nyj or Jennings against sd? Non ppr btw.

IMO the patriots are 4-0 but I'm not sure how good they really are. Are the falcons that good cuz they're 1-3 and had a chance at the end of that game. They barely beat buffalo too. They'll def be better with amendola and gronk back, but they're not this great team this year so far.

Well, you can only play the schedule in front of you. People said they were terrible at 3-0 and thought the Falcons would thrash the Patriots. Then they won that game and suddenly the Falcons, too, were a bad team. Can't really win in that respect.

I don't know how anyone can expect them to be great at this moment in time, missing basically all of their offensive weapons - Thompkins was an UDFA and Dobson is also a rookie, and they're playing a total nobody at tight end right now. Vereen is out. The point is to hang on and try and get healthy while the defense continues to improve (though losing Wilfork is a blow on that end). It's much more preferable to be 4-0 while getting the rookies up to speed and recovering from injuries than it is to be 0-4, 1-3, 2-2, or even 3-1.

They have some tough games coming up, so starting off so well is a really good thing any way you slice it.

I'm playing Tecmo Super Bowl 2014 (LINK!) and Josh Freeman is actually leading the league in QB rating, just ahead of Peyton Manning.
