Don't worry you'll be getting the Los Angeles Jaguars soon, and Football will be back in your life :D

they've been promising us a team ever since the previous teams left!

hmmmm, I'm trying to remember how many years it's been since the Jaguars were first rumored to be on their way........what happened? They get lost? A wrong turn on the interstate back east somewhere :p

The reality is that we've stopped listening to rumors of a team.......even the local sports writers have lost any enthusiasm for the topic.

i've even heard the vikings were headed that way...

a lot of teams are rumored to be headed this way.........if they all came we could have our own division

Team owners have long since learned that threatening to move the team to Los Angeles is pretty effective for getting concessions from the city where they're currently located.

So Trent Richardson to the Colts as the Browns give up on the season in week 3.

Man they'll probably be 4-12 this year instead of 6-10. Those stinkers!

Agreed, it is sad. The only downside for the Colts is that Richardson does have a tendency for injuries.

Plus he averaged what, 3.5 YPC in Cleveland? Granted, they haven't had the best of O-lines, but he has not shown much ability to make his own plays or big plays (saw a stat he has 1 run - one! - of over 20 yards) in his early career.

The league today is built on having an elite QB, not a RB. A significant amount of teams don't even rely on one RB, but a tandem. The Browns were always going to be bad this year - now they'll have the opportunity to take a QB between 2-10 (no one is going to be worse than Jax it seems) and a WR at 15-25 (depending on Indy's finish) or bundle picks solely for a top QB if necessary.

Hey MacNut, where you at?

What's up with those Giants? Losing 38-0 to CAROLINA?? LOL. :D

Pats didn't look good to start but they've been getting better as the game goes on. Rookie WRs starting to get it.. that's a good sign.

It's good to get the first 3 loses out of the way.;)

Fins are 3-0! Told you guys that they would be better than last year, and give NE a run. Still early on, and they need to get some guys back on the field, but I love the improvement from Tannehill this year, especially in the 4th quarter!

Pats beating up on probably the worst team in the league this year doesn't call for too much bragging as far as I'm concerned :/ Packers looked downright wretched though

The Pats have to be the shakiest 3-0 team in recent memory  They have been the beneficiary of a kind schedule. That will almost certainly change in Atlanta next week.

But if they can enter the final quarter of the season healthy and in rhythm with at least a 7-5 record anything can happen. Of course that's true of just about every team...

I know, it's so early in the year that it's difficulty to really spot any trends. The Falcons defense is not playing well. But the Dolphins seem to be playing solidly. Of course that's often the Dolphins pattern. Start well and then fade away.

The first quarter to half of the season is a guessing game.

The Dolphins pattern? Have you watched ANY of their games over the past few seasons? Its not their pattern whatsoever. This is the first time they have started the season 3-0 in over 10 years. If they can somehow manage a win against the Saints next Monday night, it would be the first time they started out 4-0 since 1995. The game yesterday against the Falcons was completely opposite of their "pattern." The game yesterday would have resulted in a loss if it was the Fins from the previous past few seasons, but they managed to keep themselves in the game, and produce when it mattered most.

Philbin and Ireland are building something very good in Miami, and while I dont see them as SB contenders this year, with a couple of additions on the Oline and at TE in the offseason, they will be serious contenders next season. The QB position is set, they have one of the best Dlines in football, LBers who bring speed and blitzing ability, and one of the top safeties in the game. They have enough playmakers at WR and RB to make a difference, and with Grimes, Patterson, Taylor, and Davis, enough quality at CB to allow Coyle to be creative in his defensive schemes. They are young, and with a possible playoff berth this year, I think they will be real contenders next year.

You are right. I must have been thinking about the Bills who in a couple of seasons over the past several years started out strong and then faded

The Dolphins do seem to be building solidly. But who knows? This may be their year. The more football one watches the more it becomes apparent that winning a Super Bowl is like catching lightning in a bottle. They need to (and will be) going for it this year.

except in the case of the Raiders... :p

gonna be another long one for us...

How about them Titans! Wow, a 2-1 start and Locker actually looked like a decent starting QB this past week. I just confirmed with my folks that when we visit Nashville for Christmas this year we will be able to use their season tickets to go to the December 29th game against the Texans. Regardless of their record then it should be a fun time with the family. :)

If I were a Raiders fan, I'd feel pretty good about where the team is heading after last night. Yes, you got beat, but Denver is showing itself to be the class of the AFC at this point.

Terelle Pryor made some good throws, good decisions with his feet. He looks like the real deal. And I saw no quit, despite the lopsided score. Kind of sucks Pryor got concussed at the end, but as long as he's okay, you may have found your QB.

I agreed. I have been pretty impressed by Pryor. He is certainly better than anyone else the Raiders have recently had at QB.

They should make the playoffs, and we know that once you get in, anything can happen. If they can somehow shore up the Oline, and get some guys back from injuries, they could contend this year. But...like I said, they must add someone to that line before the trade deadline. Joe Thomas is someone who is available, but the Fins arent being mentioned for him, so far. If they could somehow get Thomas, they can then move Martin to RT, and all of a sudden, they have improved the line greatly. Pouncey is one of the top 2-3 centers in the league, and they can move around guards to make the line work. Its an option, but I dont see the line being fixed until the offseason.

On defense, they just need to get healthier. Dion Jordan, IMO, should have been the top pick in the draft, and the Fins stole him, moving to the 3rd spot for only their first rounder and a 2nd rounder. Him and Wake on the edges will give opposing QBs major issues over the next few seasons. Soliai, Starks, and Odrick can clog the middle with the best of them, so the Dline is in great shape. Wheeler and Ellerbe have been superb additions to the LB spot, to go along with Misi. And Grimes has been the teams best addition so far. Ryan didnt dare throw to his side at all on Sunday, and he is as good as it gets right now. All they need to do is get Taylor and Davis back from their injuries, and our defense is set.
