Me too, I kept hearing from the team how he's such a disciplinarian, yet they have such dirty players and continually made penalties and stupid errors - not the mark of a coach who is high on discipline.

That will never happen but with the right coach, his shenanigans will stop

I was surprised how well the Browns did due to the injuries and yet they fired the coach after 1 year. I think because of that, Haslem will have a hard time finding a top tier coach

He was there for 3 years and failed more then he succeeded - he left with a record of 21-32-1. While you cannot blame him for all of their woes, you cannot fire the team and in this case I think he had adequate time.

The front office will make sure those tickets are gone - that will be a huge embarrassment for green bay if they're blacked out.

yeah, yer right about frazier. injuries didn't help at all this season. seemed like when someone got well someone else got hurt... and how many times did petersen(sp?) go down?

the browns... just wow. campbel played prety well off and on. if he could stay healthy who knows?

Tickets still available in Green Bay, Indy and Cincinnati.

and indy is INDOORS! and they should beat the chiefs again!

This is becoming more and more of a problem for the NFL. They're struggling to fill stadiums.. for the playoffs.

As the experience of going to games continues to deteriorate (rising costs, overzealous security, etc) it's only going to get worse too.

Are these billionaire owners really surprised that people would rather watch on their 50'' HDTV from the comfort of their couch instead of shelling out $600-$1000+ to sit in the cold, wait 20 minutes to piss, and pay 10 bucks a beer/7.50 a hotdog?

I could get a ticket to most Bruins, Celtics, or Red Sox games for the amount of money it just costs to park at Gillette Stadium.

Not to mention a slap in the face to taxpayers who subsidized the stadiums in Indianapolis and Cincinnati and paid for the renovations to Lambeau Field.

I read an interesting analysis of the Green Bay situation. Of course, the vast majority of seats at Lambeau are season ticket holders (you basically have to be related to someone who has had the seat since before you were born). Playoff tickets are offered in late November or early December, as a non-refundable purchase that gets credited to you to next season if there are no home games. Since the Packers' prospects were looking poor, right up until late this past Sunday, most fans were pretty loath to make that commitment, so there were a lot of open seats for this game.

Never mind that it will be cold enough (near zero) at game time that most native Wisconsinites will have to put on shirts to sit outside (my first-hand experience: they run their car A/C when it gets up to 50°F).

Green Bay is now sold out.

I just saw that. I knew some company was going to step up and buy the tickets. The sad thing is, how many empty seats will we see TV.

This is just a symptom of the disease, the cost of going to these games is astronomical - its only going to get worse as time goes on imo

Green Bay now sold out but the NFL is becoming a TV league. People would rather be in their warm house, on a comfy couch watching every angle on a big screen HDTV than deal with traffic, cold weather, crowded seating with poor views and expose their children to drunk, obnoxious fans. I don't really blame them.

I was told the exact same thing

Bad news for the Chiefs, Jamaal Charles is in the locker room being evaluated for a concussion. Happened on the 6th offensive play for the Chiefs.

Interesting, the Chiefs were +3 in turnovers, the Eagles +2. I guess they just had to really want it more than they did.

Now, at least we know one game for next week: the SAints @ Seattle, 13:35 PST Saturday. Not a happy situation for them to be in, the last meeting there did not go well for them. They have to hope the Hawks will be overconfident.

What the heck happened to the Eagles and Chiefs.

No way the Chiefs should have lost that game. I think what typically happens is with a huge lead they started letting up and of course Indy wasn't going to lay down.

As for the Eagles, they were man handling the Saints in the first half but it was the self inflicted wounds that were dooming the Saints. They seemed to turn it around in the second half.

I was rooting for Saints so I was happy they won, but I was rooting for the Chief - one out of two isn't bad I guess.

I'm really looking forward to the ice bowl later today. I think the temps will be giving green bay a huge advantage.

The Broncos get to player the Chargers for the 3rd time this year. Should be a good game.

Broncos got Bolted last time at Milehigh, but then, they were probably feeling a bit lackadaisical at that point. I think that was the game after which some stabbings took place in the parking lot, right?

Correct, the stabbings happened at that game.

We split the regular season series with the Chargers. Oddly enough, the home team lost in both regular season games. Hopefully that streak doesn't continue.
