Then there are those that say Tuchel is now speculating on not having a team, when Löw fails and 2015 they will search for a new national team coach. While I can't believe that, because I can hardly imagine how they would first think of Tuchel.

true:
Tuchel is excellent in the week in/week out work where he is constantly working with the squad, squad rotations, fine adjustments to the next opposition, getting the best out of limited budget/loaned players etc.
He so far hasn't showed to be football philosopher/big motivator/tournament atmosphere handler... he is an excellent league coach, perhaps even one of the best from his age.

I think Tuchel would have been a interesting fit for Schalke, better then Leverkusen. On the other hand, if one sees how Keller did, it is more fair to keep Keller.

Keller sure is one of the most underrated, considering how the season went for him: he was under pressure from day 1, many regarded him as temporary solution, hardly had 4-5 games without "Schalke is in a crisis" press witch hunts.
Every time he needed a good result or he would be fired he managed to get the team set up for a good result
pretty much every other squad would have disintegrated with that many injuries.

I am looking forward for the Relegation of Greuther Fürth vs Hamburg soon.
HSV has all the luck in the world to even be in relegation ... the first time a squad with that few points not getting relegated straight to the lower league

after the hilarious "we are aiming for europe" at season start, signing van der vaart, selling their best player from last year (Son), loaning out their best striker in the winter break to a league rival (Rudnevs), still having Westerman in the line up... i'm not so sure the HSV is still serious or just an eleborate parody

Maybe Championship (Norwich) or an 'almost a Championship' team in West Brom?

Moyes to Spurs?

Levy is chasing Benitez and De Boer as replacement. Still think he should've stuck with AVB who looks set to win the Russian League with Zenith.

Moyes might be headed to West Brom. He's their type of manager. Keep them in the top 15 whilst working with peanuts.

There are rumblings about WBA, but I'm sure they can do better than Sherwood. At the moment he's behind Chris Houghton in the betting!

Not sure that Norwich would see him as an upgrade on Neil Adams. Either give 'youth' a chance (ie retain Adams) or get some nasty old pro.

Talking of nasty old pros, Malky Mackay is both hot favourite for Norwich, and more tentative favourite for WBA. Ironically enough he also happens to be three years younger than Sherwood, and six years younger than Adams...

Southampton apparent want £30m from LFC for Lallana and £27m from United for Shaw. I see the British player ripoff tax is in full effect.

And people wonder why clubs opt for foreign bodies instead.

While I agree, why would Southampton want to let them go for cheap? Ideally, they'd probably want to keep both of them, and if not, then why not get a big payout? Either way it's a win win for Southampton (unless of course they pocket the cash and never really replace them)

Oh i agree. I'm not blaming Soton. Newcastle, Blackpool and Villa did it to Liverpool as well. Was just commenting on the generally inflated market for British players.

30mio pounds equals to 36,8 mio €

Marco Reus transfered for 17mio € to dortmund a year ago... just for comparison

Well, a player is only worth what someone is willing to pay, and if teams are willing to pay in excess of £20m for Lallana...

I'm not saying I agree with it, but while teams are willing to pay big money in the PL then this will always happen. It's not just a British player tax either. Do you think anyone else would have paid £50m for Torres?

Was Bale really worth €100m?

Did Neymar really cost over €70? (depends what story you believe)

Wonder if FSG will take £60m from Real for Suarez.

In other news, Deshamp omits Nasri from the french WC squad and his gf is not happy.

She clearly had 'other plans' in June then ;)

Edit: So according to Vidic Man U's players gave everything they could for Moyes. Does that mean they're simply past it then?

This Europa League final is starting to give me a headache.

EDIT: ...and the underdogs Sevilla win it. Guttmann curse still in full effect. Thats Benfica's 8th loss in European finals.

I guess that's in next season's training manual then?

For some poor team if the door reads 'David Moyes - Manager'. Manchester United's will probably have a picture of a football on page one.

---

Europa League:

Two officials tasked with spotting a keeper off his line have no problem with him being halfway home by the time the kick is taken. Still, the saved penalties were poor; the second miss was worse - I've seen Cardozo fluff, I'll copy his method.

U21s:

Chelsea are Champions; winning 1-2. :( but deserved. The three goals were good, shame about the Kompany v Liverpool moment for the winner.

Cheers,
OW

More 2014/2015 kits coming in. Some of these may not be final but most are. My favourites are the Lazio and Roma ones.

So here goes in no particular order;

Roma's looks cut nice, don't like the diagonal stripe though. Chelsea looks really cool imo.

lol at United (wtf?) and Bayern.

Manchester United; seen a number with the logo in black or white outline and no gold filling. If it is the gold and good taste has anything to do with it, shirt sales will fall - the person who gave birth to the monster and those responsible for passing it will need shooting. Could just have Chevrolet - no cross logo - in white or red like the Sharp days.

Bayern Munich making a point re Kroos.

Cheers,
OW
