Manchester United; seen a number with the logo in black or white outline and no gold filling.
Have seen the same. The shirts they're attached too look more convincing, too.

Have no idea what the Premier League regulations are but it's difficult to believe that the massive logo/type in the earlier post is 'legal'.

What I really don't understand is why Chevrolet would want to sponsor Manchester United. Chevrolet Europe was started in 2005 to try and sell rebadged Daewoos, failed miserably, and is closing down next year. Assuming the closure was at least a possibility when the deal was made, it seems an awful lot of money for the US EPL market (who I'm led to believe are all coastal urban hipsters who ride fixed gear bikes, and are unlikely to be interested in buying a Silverado).

Roma - ooo.

I'd guess the UK and European markets aren't the key focus with this sponsorship - increasingly English teams are being used to target south east Asian countries, where the appetite for Premier League football is huge and matches draw huge TV audiences. I think China/south east Asia is one of Chevrolet's key markets so allying themselves with one of the Premier League's top clubs - and one that's hugely popular in that part of the world - would be an attractive opportunity.

It's a common sight now to see the electronic hoardings at Premier League grounds displaying ads in south east Asian languages - sat in the stands I don't have a clue what they're saying but then they're certainly not trying to shift a product to me.

my guess is that parts of GM don't know what other parts of GM are doing ;)

Bayern already played the last season game with the new home red/blu striped shirts... a flashback to the past but in a good way. That away shirt ... ye gods what were they thinking. the black 3rd kit with the thin red stripe looks nice though

the italian shirts for the year look all quite ace Lazio, Roma and Milan all very nice.

i'm already preparing mentally for the usually hilarious barcelona away kit

I'm still not sure what a 'Chang' is...

That's and easy one! :)

Edit: So Jaffa, big day out at Wembley (again) tomorrow?

Will one of these be adorning your throne at home?

Perhaps it isn't Asia, maybe they felt at home?

Kits; like the Bayern Munich home kit - the away has a French feel, the PSGs, and both Roma's - but wish the sash went to the edge.

Cheers,

german free-tv Sport1 will be showing the Arsenal - Hull City game live

Like othes said, it's Asia. As for hipsters, no way do American hipsters support Man Utd - way too much of an overdog. Serious hipsters would go for teams that used to be big in the pre-Premier League days like Nottingham Forest. Or even lower-league opposition. The most hard-core hipsters porbably prefer obscure contintental or South Amreican teams though or - the ultimate - NASL teams. ;)

Then again, hipsterism is largley a hollow fad so most "hipsters" probably do support Man Utd.

No, but I've something else - remember my foil covered Cup that I promised to make? Well, I reckon I can do better than an old box and some bacofoil...

That is epic Jaffa. :D

Premier League refereeing at its finest once again.

Edit: The La Liga title stays in Spain as Atletico and Barca draw.

Lee Probert and his assistants have been diabolical.

Meanwhile Athleti claim La Liga after holding Barca to a draw at the Camp Nou.

1966 Athletico win La Liga, 2014 Athletico win La Liga.
1966 Austria win Eurovision, 2014 Austria win Eurovision.
1966 team comes from 2 goals down to win FA cup, 2014 team comes from 2 goals down to win FA cup.

Just sayin....

Commiserations Jaffa, I thought it might just go to penalties when Aluko's shot grazed the line, but it wasn't to be :(

Oh well, FA Cup finalists for the first time, stayed up in the Prem, and Europe to look forward to next season. It's not all bad!
