What was the infraction? Getting a gifted Happy Meal?

Supposedly receiving $400 for signing 80 items to a memorabilia dealer. There's smoke already since A.J. Green was suspended for selling his signed bowl jersey while at Georgia a few years back.

Per CBSSports.com's post.

In all honesty, I don't really care. School's make so much money off ticket and jersey sales off these kids that I don't mind Gurley trying to get some action too. Especially if he was in financial need, I really don't blame him one bit.

While I agree with you, it is against the rules for Gurley to do that. He has got to be smarter than that and not do things that hurt him and his team.

Certainly it was an idiotic move, doubly so given the fact that A.J. Green was suspended for the same issue at the same school just a few years ago.

I just wonder if it was an "I need money for food or rent" influenced move or an "I just want to get paid" influenced move. The former I don't really blame him, rules or no rules. The latter, not so much. We'll have to wait and see.

I'm going to have to take back what I said last week about Mississippi St, and Auburn too...

Glad both pretenders from the state of Alabama have lost ;) Pretty wild game, very sloppy, yet explosive plays by both sides. Marshall and Dak are such over-hyped players, but sure are fun to watch the way they improvise plays.

TCU was overrated and still almost - and probably should've with that late non-call/called pass interferences on the last two series - beat Baylor at Baylor. Baylor isn't real until they beat a decent team on the road, like Oklahoma at OK.

Let's go Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Arizona. I'm 50/50 on whether I want the bleeding to stop in Ann Arbor or just keep the train wreck going with a loss to Penn State.

It's painful watching Alabama play the way they're playing. I get that no team can always dominate and I was expecting them to step a small step back but this is more than a step back. I don't know if it's Kiffin's offensive scheme or if Sims just isn't good and if that's the case, I don't want to know how bad Jacob Coker really is for Saban to stick with Sims.

As an Alabama fan, I'm agree with you completely.

Alabama vs Arkansas was PAINFUL to watch!!!! Both teams played sloppy (thank God) but Alabama has ZERO leadership. The offense has zero chemistry and B. Sims can NOT spread the ball around.

Alabama has possibly one of the best TE's in the country with O.J. Howard. This could be the best group of WR's in the history of Alabama also but Sims will only look for Cooper. If any team can successfully double cover Cooper all game they will beat Alabama.

Watching Nick Saban lose his mind was by far the most entertaining part of that game. Also these images show EVERY Alabama fans thoughts

I'm going to have to take back what I said last week about Mississippi St, and Auburn too...

As an Auburn alum, I have to agree. Auburn just played terribly yesterday. I mean seriously...two turnover fumbles on their first two plays? Nick Marshall was playing like he was hungover or something. Never seen him so bad. And then there was that offensive pass interference call that was just crap.

But Mississippi State did just trample us.

Alabama does look bad on offense, I wish we could get back to running the ball to set up the pass. Its time we line up in the Power I and turn this thing around. Defense is what kept us in that game with a huge field goal block. I understand our receiving corp is great but we can't get them the ball so I say run the ball and not with those stretch plays. Roll Tide Roll...

It's hard to know where the fault lies. It's not just Sims, though his execution on the attempted fourth down play was horrible, and he does lose his cool when plays don't go as expected. I don't know - maybe he just plays well at home and we should let Coker play on the road. :)

The loss of Ryan Kelly didn't help, and Kenyan Drake's absence is a huge hit. However, Alabama should have enough depth to overcome injuries and rough patches. Right now, however, they look much better on paper than they do on the field.

I'm pretty sure it went INT then fumble, but whatever. What a start to the game.

It's laughable Auburn and Alabama are still in the Top 10. The Coaches poll is a little better than the AP, but not by much. Auburn has beaten no one of note, including currently unranked LSU, got smacked around, and drop only 4 spots in the AP? Alabama looks awful again and doesn't drop? Oregon should be higher. At least they have beat a T10 team in Michigan State. I have no idea how A&M is still ranked - they only beat a hugely overrated and .500 South Carolina.

It's still early - we have half a season left to play, so I'm willing to wait and see how things fall into place. If the committee is as stupid as the AP rankings, people sure aren't going to be satisfied with only four teams in the playoff.

Can't believe I'm saying this as an Alabama fan, but I think that's unfair to Auburn. IMO, they're better than their performance Saturday would suggest. But I agree that at this point the polls don't mean that much, even though the season is half done.

God, can we please be over with the Lane Kiffen experiment. I hated it the day Bama signed him and I hate him now more than ever. He needs to go. Why..... oh ..... Why!

That win, wasn't a win. It was a skid by the skin of our teeth barely alive, no offense and thank you defense for stepping up and saving the day game.

Great turnaround for the Tide this afternoon. Admittedly, A&M looked like they weren't putting in any effort, but it was good to see strong performance on both sides of the ball. And Baylor's loss today removes another team from the unbeaten column. Question is will both Mississippi teams remain there?

I kinda have a feeling that Bama will take out Miss. St & Auburn will take out Ole Miss to right the wrongs that happened to the state of Alabama lol... Roll Tide:cool:

One of the stats for that Bears game: 18 flags for 215 yards. Do they have a coach or not, that is just sad.

Well A&M sure is a joke. Video game offense - except they play on Rookie difficulty. Throw it up to All American and they can't play with anyone. Combined with their joke of a defense and they're terrible. Hopefully they go unranked and never get ranked again this year.

ND looking so far, so good vs. FSU. Guess it'll go down to the 4th quarter.

Single-handedly covering the over/under by eleven points, TCU scores 82. That is just ridiculous.
