Wear them both.
Or cut them in half and sew them back together. Like they do for the scarves at big matches.

Condolences to our Sheffield Wednesday contingent - they played a great match today, Hull only just edged it.

And now for the Champions League...here's hoping Sergio Ramos gets another red card, and Torres scores the winner.
Actually, Hull thoroughly deserved it, I'm sorry to say

They certainly showed they had the players for the big occasion

As I said previously, Hull certainly have the better team, I was just hoping for an 'upset'. Still, it's been a good season for us. We never expected to make the playoff final so we actually exceeded the club's expectations by doing so.

I just hope we can kick on from here, and push for the automatic places next season.

Almost exactly what I've been saying. ;)

Gundogan signs for City. Would be interesting to see how he copes with the EPL considering he, like Reus is injury prone and its the knee as well which is arguably the worst region for a footballer to be injured.

I wonder what ManC wants to do with Guardiola and what Guardiola wants to do with Gundogan...

I was surprised no one of you talked about Hummels leaving to Bayern. Well, on the other hand there is not much to say about it. Think are like they are.

Speaking of Reuss: after missing WC 2014 with an injury, he will not play the Euro2016, too, because he got injured.

Löw tried Ter Stegen (again) as goal keeper in a friendly against Slowakia. I still don't get, why he is even considered (and now nominated) for the squad, everytime. All perfect at Barca, but with every friendly in the national team he totally fails. Leno makes a much better appearance at national level (even though he had his mistakes, too at Leverkusen). Still he is considered second behind Ter Stegen. To be honest, I can't say, if Ron Robert Zieler would be better than Ter Stegen, but given that he not gets nervous completely, he probably would. Weidenfeller had to less playing time last season and has probably really become to old in the meantime... - Well, luxury problems :D

For those who know the players, I am a bit surprised that Rudy was not taken, but on the other hand I can't really judge Weigl and what Rudy does in the training... Löw will have his reasons.

I am happy with the choice of Leroy Sane, btw. Gomez looks better than in the past, but I'm still not 100% sure about him.

German women's league

Bayern is strenghtening their new position as the 1st of this league.
I already mention on 1st of may, that Bayern finished with 10 points ahead this season, after finishing 1st 1 point ahead last season (when they first won it).
They bought a very important and good player, Simone Laudehr, off of close rival Frankfurt. Laudehr, though one of the older players (therefore more experienced) is the type of player that plays above the point of exhaustion in tournaments and important matches, going after balls that seem already lost. She will be a tough person to deal with, if a contender is trying to be nasty behind the back of the referee. She adds strenght to the overall mentality of the (national-)team. She can also play multiple positions, although being a trained 6. She has been used as wing forward several times, though and as a backup-of-the-backup for injured defense players.
At the same time Frankfurt sold Jennifer Maroszan (an Ozil type of player, once hyped as the prodigy) to this years CL-winner Olympique Lyon (who won 2:0 against Wolfsburg). Kerstin Garefrekes, old player, former national team player leaves Frankfurt, too, career end. Frankfurt wants to compensate with players from their own youth. So Frankfurt looses 3 important players, while being 1 of the two teams (the other is Wolfsburg) that are the biggest rivals of Bayern in the legaue.
However, if you want to be fair, I got to mention that Bayern at the same time sells 2 players to SC Sand. They are one of the weaker teams, but defeated Bayern with 1:0 in the half final of the DFB-cup this year and gave Wolfsburg a hard time in the final.
A former candidate for places 1-3 Potsdam, has ended the league worst in their recent history. In the year their long time coach, Bernd "the grinder" Schröder, retires (they had invested for his last year, but obviously it didn't pay off that well.

Leverkusen cuts expenses and buys 4 players from Köln. Köln that is going back to league II where they came from.
Freiburg that had been harvested by Bayern last two seasons (6 (U-)national team players in total), is selling 4 players to FC Basel and filling the holes with players from their youth. This reminds one of the way Freiburg is managed in the men's league, where they constantly train good players, get them bought off and then replaces them with their own youth.

(Heh, sorry, texts eats a huge space in this post given the actual relevance, but while I was talking about Bayern, I had to put the rest in perspective, I guess.)

Here's the table for conveniance. PKT = Points, TD = goal difference.

Speaking of Freiburg's men

I am glad Freiburg is back in men's 1st league, next season. I love to see coach Streich and Freiburg.

Hummel's defects to Bayern Munich.

I felt bored just writing the above.

I talked about the Hummels story but its so predictable that its boring.

Dortmund squad being gutted again.

Wonder if Auba will stay or leave.

Rumours of Vardy to Arsenal. Leicester fans predictably peeved and have started raining abuse. On paper it makes sense. The guy is 29 and there's no guarantee a big money move will come again after this summer. Leicester unlikely to have CL football again too.

Four year contract for a 29 year old? Arsenal have always issued 12 month contracts to the over 30's, even for established stars.
Not sure this change of policy is a good thing for the club.
As for Leicester fans, if they really thought they were going to keep their squad together, they must be kidding themselves.

I'd like it known that I can't stand Transfer season. Either Vardy wants to join Arsenal. Either sign, or don't, either way, get on with it.
