Agreed.

Actually, the Twitter feed on the Guardian was very funny when they wrote that, "All of Iceland and Austria giggle as Ronaldo hits the left upright."

His graceless remarks after the match against Iceland - about Iceland - meant that this Karmic retribution (and the goalie had already dived - the goal was wide open) was richly deserved and hilarious to watch.

Chile are hammering Mexico, 5-0 and the game is far from over. The first half was very exciting, a real back-and-forth match. But Chile are the real deal, they are serious contenders to win the tournament.

Argentina are going to smash USA...but at least we made it to the semifinals! and who knows? Maybe we'll make them work hard for their inevitable win.

Ronaldo once again shows he's just a big baby.

I thought Argentina destroyed Venezuela, but Chile just annihilated Mexico. I kept seeing the notifications on the way home from ARG-VEN.

Both of the semis promise to be exciting games!

Ouch! Chile killed mexico 7-0, chile played very well. Colombia vs. Chile will be a Clash of the Titans !!!
Too bad im working that night :( and cant see the game, hopefully it would be a early game but i doubt it.

Switzerland v France (reserves) tonight.
With France already through to the last 16, key player Payet had been rested.
Should give s chance for a few others to shine. Both teams should go through, though Either can top the group depending on result.
 
On comes Payet. Hope he has a stinker to put some of the domestic clubs taking an interest.

West Ham have him on a long contract, but I'd like to know what the release clause is.
Hopefully he will stay loyal. Without West Ham, he wouldn't be even playing for France.
 
Sitting in an airport bar and all I could get on was Albania v Romania. After watching that I never, ever want to hear a Euro-snob criticize the quality of play in MLS ever again.

Slovakia v England B team just kicked off.
Bit of a gamble from Roy IMO. We could still go out (although unlikely). Early goal will help settle my nerves.

Haven't seen that aprticular game but I saw Albania vs France the last 'gameweek' and was super surprised about the quality Albania showed on the pitch and wasthinking to myself: I never want to hear some PL snob criticize the quality of play in Eastern Europe/Albania again.

That being said: as much as I like this tournament so far, the m.o. is far from exciting. Best to play defensive and keep a clean sheet - attacking isn't couraged and it shows.









*Never will I ever watch a MLS game. Ever. :p

Henderson and Wilshere don't look match fit. Losing possession and terrible balls into the box. England tentative.
 
After an hour I gave up and watched Wales/Russia in ITV4's glorious dayglo pixelvision. Whenever a Welsh player broke into a sprint, the red pixels of his shirt lagged half a second behind the rest of him.
