You watching the Crew? Steffens already made a penalty save!

Seeing how are guy took away our beloved stripes. Yes.
We are literally, IMHO, one season away from becoming the "Red Dragon Owls'.
Mark my words.
We'll be wearing red and gold in a years time.
Yes but red is such a lucky colour!

The dream is dead. MLS, Don Garber, Columbus Crew Owner Mike Precourt, and pampered USMNT losers Jozy Altidore and Michael Bradley all badly needed Toronto to win that match, and they just about managed to do it.

The Crew will be gone after next season, and with it any interest I have in MLS. Now that they have run out of room for expansion teams, they are going to start moving teams to generate revenue and boost average attendance. Columbus was merely the thin end of the wedge. It has completely soured the game for me, and for the time being I can't even enjoy watching Liverpool.

Save the Crew

Up the Royals! (no, not Reading)

pretty much agreed.

Not quite a group of death; Germany goes through and the others all have a chance.

The fix is in with Russia - yet even in the easiest group by far there is a very good chance they will fail, which would be highly satisfying.

Brazil and England both with byes to the knockout stage.

Well not too bad if I do say so myself!

We have a tough group. We’ll be lucky to grab a result from Denmark or Peru, and France will throttle us. Hopefully we can pull an upset aka Senegal in 2002. Still, very excited for another World Cup, the last one definitely doesn’t feel 3.5yrs ago.

Pobga gets himself banned for the Manchester derby. Mourinho can finally claim a win against a top six side but he ALWAYS beats Wenger so, meh...once again De Gea comes up big. Where would they be without him?

Big Sam off to a winning start with Everton.

Liverpool blow Brighton away using a rather odd formation, and *almost* keep a clean sheet.

Well, Arsenal didn't fold, they fought and were superb at times, so that is something.

But, their tendency to stupid, sleepy, defensive carelessness caught them yet again.

Not looking forward to this. I can only see one result.
Apparently 95% predict a home win on the BBC website.

I think that's being kind. Carroll out, Hernandez out, Reid out keeper can't play against his club.

Think it's going to be a cricket score!

Well I think despite the loss, I can hold my head up high as I walk into the office tomorrow.
I think we showed great effort in nearly getting a result. Certainly not the cricket score predicted!

West Ham performed surprisingly well, and were impressively dogged in defence; City's class told in the end, though.

I expected Man City to administer a spanking, but West Ham hung in here for most of the match. If they can play like that against lesser opponents they may be alright.

Liverpool into fourth as Spurs continue to struggle. Still looking like a Manchester one-two in the league, but 3rd/6th is still wide open.

It certainly was a good result for us. A win or draw would have been fantastic though. We can live in hope! At least it shows they have some spirit.
Come on you Irons!

The only thing that could possibly spoil Man City setting a record for consecutive wins since football was invented in 1992 would be if they were to face a talented yet incredibly defensive team that showed up, parked the bus, got away with a few Fellaini elbows, relied on a few world class saves from De Gea and snatched a late longball equalizer....a team like Mourinho's Man Utd team, for example.

Oh.

Fellaini, Bailly, and Jones all look set to miss out on the derby through injury, and Pogba is of course suspended. It's going to be a tall order for United to get a result. I can see De Bruyne and Silva cutting through that depleted midfield like a hot knife through butter. Hope I'm wrong.

Mourinho could build an effective defensive wall with a few cones, a spare training bib and Victor Lindeloff. But I did forget about Fellaini's absence. That's big. We all know Mou will go ultra-defensive, as he nearly always does in big matches; he will hope to get a draw here and make up the point/goal differential elsewhere against lesser teams (whom he has been beating with near-total regularity this season).

Pep's adventure in England has been a slow burn and he has attracted a lot of criticism, but at this point he appears to have crafted Man City into the best team in the league, and he has a very good chance of winning the title with them. Whatever he says in public, Pep will be highly motivated to hand out a beating here and lay down the gauntlet in style.

Chelsea playing a very cagey match against Atleti - nothing happening, to be honest.

CSKA have scored against Man Utd at the stroke of HT. I'm sure Mourinho will rally the troops and get the win but it was a poor first half for them in their own house...will Mou blame Luke Shaw?

On the other hand, it's a meaningless match for Man Utd, so if there was a time to lose this would be it I suppose.

EDIT: Two quick goals and Man Utd win, to top the group and guarantee an easy knockout round opponent. Pogba was a factor.

Chelsea and Atleti draw 1-1, a bad result for both teams. Atleti are out of the CL!
