I have been disappointed by Arsenal MANY times.
However, this was a bad loss for me.

Yes, I know this is Emery’s first season, etcetera. But, honestly, we have some stale players that simply need to leave/retire.

As for Ozil, well, to say I am more disappointed in him, is an understatement. I know one person cannot win a game. Alas, I expected so much more from him.

Now to deal with all the fake news from the transfer window. Ugh...

While one person cannot - or does not usually - win a game - one person can sometimes make a difference to or influence the outcome of a game, and Ozil's attitude, and mental disengagement and lack of apparent concern, are what bother me about him.

I can live with defeats to better teams, but I find it hard to forgive the inability to learn from (endlessly repeated) defensive mistakes and would prefer if teams would to wish to improve.

Arsenal have been notorious for their defensive frailty and brittleness for years, and that needs to be addressed, although the problems long predated Emery's arrival, but the tendency of the team to capitulate and collapse is unforgivable.

However, I imagine that it mat take Emery several transfer windows to craft a team that is able to fulfil his vision for them.

Agreed. From the likes of Keown, Adams and such, it was time to start building for the future. I felt we waited to long, then just received the bottom of the barrel.

Now, here we are, still ages away from a decent defense...

On the subject of Arsenal sad news earlier.

Seriously, I expect nothing less than a win from Liverpool. If Spurs win, we will never bloody hear the end of it; plus, they are in Champions League again next season. Ugh...

Me too, after an amazing season I hope we end up with something to show for it rather than second place finishes.

Agreed: Klopp and that superb team deserve some sort of silverware - I'd love to see them - and Klopp, and their values, proper long term building of a team and a team spirit - rewarded - after the excellent season that they have had; this is the second consecutive year that they have succeeded in qualifying for the final of the Champions' League competition.

Actually, for what it is worth, I don't share the usual dislike of an Arsenal supporter for the Spurs team and I think that Pochettino has been an excellent manager for Spurs and has probably managed to wring the very last drop of success from an exceptionally talented team (if one that lacks strength in depth), despite having had access to limited financial resources.

Having said that, I would still like to see a Liverpool victory, if only to offer some sort of recognition to an outstanding team that has graced the game with their presence.
